Visited February 2014. Great location right next to the Rialto bridge, close to all the attractions. Hotel was good value for money, couldn't ask for more for the amount paid. Breakfast included with a decent selection and friendly service. Hotel staff were very friendly and attentive, overall had a great holiday in venice and a comfortable stay in hotel Marconi. Look out for city tax though!

Just got back from staying in this hotel for three nights. The location is spectacular, right next to the Rialto bridge. The room was a bit cramped and dingy. There was also a lot of noise from the restaurant next door. If you're willing to see past this sort of thing to be at the heart of the city with a great view of a top attraction. You'll be pleased with this.

Visit - Late Jan 2014 - 2 people sharing a Double room for 3 nights

Got this hotel via a Groupon deal for 3 nights. Initial impression is that it is an old hotel that has been renovated. The room is of a decent size, clean - and had Sky, minibar, full bathroom with shower and bath.

Breakfast was included for us, had everything from cereals, pastries, hot and cold food and English tea!

The shower was AMAZING. Wanted to take it home.

The walls are quite thin so not the quietest hotel, but all in all, a great place and location. Would use again.

I aspected a nice week end in Venice, but not so much.
Venice really surprised me and the Hotel Marconi is located on an excellent position, clean and staff is really friendly.
Maybe it is better to avoid the public tranportation. we reached all parts of Venice just walking.

Me and my girl was so happy at first when we saw the hotel because it is right by the Rialto Bridge and everything was planned out where will be our route is but when we are about to check in, the lady at the reception desk told us that there is a problem on the room where we are going to stay. When I asked what is wrong, she said something like a bathroom problem. She said that they will transfer us to another hotel and that is San Moise hotel and it is close to San Marco Basilica. I thought it is close by but they let us walk like 10 minutes to go to the said hotel. By the way, we were supposed to stay here on October 21 to celebrate our honeymoon. I guess they save the rooms for walk ins so they will rip them off a big money and for those who booked early they have a plan already to move us to different hotel. So for those who are planning to stay at this hotel, please just stay away

Room Tip: you cannot choose a good room because you will be transferred into a different hotel

The best part of this hotel is the location. With Venice's complicated street system, it's easier to find your back to this hotel because it's located right next to the famous Rialto Bridge. And there's only like 4 main locations that the signs on the streets will point you to: San Marco's Plazza, Ferriova, S. Lucio, and the Rialto Bridge. So just follow the signs to the bridge and at least you'll never be homeless. However the hotel itself is just ok. We didn't meet one friendly person working here from the people at the front desk to the bellhops to the kitchen workers. Would it kill you to smile? It's a bit older property but that's to be expected. The room had to fit the four of us and was so tightly packed with 3 beds. No room to walk around and we still had our suitcases to lay out. The bathroom was so weird. The shower was level with the floor and just had a shower curtain so the water would spill out onto the regular floor and basically soak everything. Crazy. Luckily we weren't there that long but I don't know if I would stay here again.
