We stayed there with our then 8-month old baby. We were there for 2 nights. They gave us a cot for her. The hotel is centrally located. Very close to the vaporetto. No bridges to cross with our lugguage. Was perfect. Close to the main attractions. Walking distance. We had a window in our room with view of a small canal. Cld hear the gondolas' music all the time. Good bathroom. Huge lovely bed. Good ac. Breakfast spread was quite big.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our Royal Princess cruise, arriving after an overnight flight from Toronto. Front desk staff was professional and friendly, we had room 115 at the top of the stairs, opening on to the canal at the rear of the hotel. The room was typical of European Hotels, on the small side with wood floors but comfortable. Bathroom was modern with a large shower, everything was very clean. We looked forward to being serenaded by gondoliers late afternoon and evening, passing by just under our window. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and lovely Italian ham, as well as fresh croissants and rolls, fresh fruits and scrambled eggs. The location could not have been better and we walked everywhere. San Marcos is especially lovely after dark. Vaparetto stop was very close, no bridges to cross. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We loved being at the rear of the hotel, next to the canal. Very quiet.

Wow! First time in Venice and lucked out by finding the ideal hotel. The location steps from St. Mark's Square couldn't be more central and convenient for exploration on foot and by water from Giglio Vaporetto Stop. Our room was typically cozy and well furnished, quite comfortable. The sight and sound of the gondoliers playing and singing as they passed our room in the small canal below was fabulous. The hotel breakfast was amazing, fresh cheeses and assorted salami and ham as well as fresh fruit, eggs, sausage and wonderful pastries. The hotel staff was very friendly and professional, first rate! Can't wait for my next visit!

This was my second stay at this hotel and it lived up to expectations. I love the hotels location between St. Marks and the Academia Bridge as well as the fact that the water taxi can deposit you right at the hotel after a long flight. Rooms are comfortable and clean and I enjoyed my view of the canal. Good breakfasts and a front desk staff that makes you feel welcome.

- although i have booked many months ahead we received a SUPERIOR room on the first floor facing the piazza. room description seemed much more promising. The room was dark, smelly (above a restaurant that might added to it)and certainly without a balcony. actually looking at the building from outside there were no balconies at all!
after a debate i was given a much better room on the 2nd floor facing the canal. this resembled the description a bit more. besides: it was clean, medium size/small room. tiny shower place.
Location great as vaporetto station is 50 mt away
mattress is extremely hard- not always what you want after a long day...

Room Tip: try to get a room on 2-3 floor facing the canal
