A wonderful hotel, small friendly and perfectly located in a quiet part of Venice. We had a very enjoyable few days in Venice and with help from knowledgable staff had some wonderful food in nice restaurants.

Let's start with the positive:

- Service: warm, professional, attentive, all questions answered, etc. lots of great tips from public transport to museums to everything – a real 4* in this respect.
- Breakfast: delicious and included in the room rate. Lots of choices, fresh products, effective staff: a definite plus!
- Location: next to vaporetto stop Accademia, easy access to everything on foot. Not the liveliest part of town maybe, but close enough to everywhere not to care about it
- Design: very cool, clean, something different in Venice.
- Value, considering Venice crazy prices, we found the rates very reasonable.

The negative:

- Our room (n. 5), on the mezzanine, felt quite dark. Definitely not enough light filtered through the window and we had no view. There was also quite a bit of noise from the street during the night and early in the morning as people passed by. The bathroom is really nice though (with a bathtub, a rarity in Venice!).

- the wi-fi connection was quite bad during our stay. Not a real problem, as we had 3G connection with our phones anyway, but a bit strange.

- Toiletries kit. Very basic, besides the average quality of products. I think even 2* hotels now give body lotion and conditioner.

- Lousy hair drier (the wall mounts one that you find in cruise ships!). Sure, you can get a proper one at the reception, but it is a bit annoying having to ask for things that are standard in this hotel category. Seriously, even my gym has a better hair drier.

- I would have loved to have a small coffee maker in the room instead of the water kettle and Nescafé (yes, soluble coffee in Italy!) outside in the hallway, which is, frankly, un-practical.

Very good and pretty hotel overall, but I would definitely go for a higher floor room and superior room category in case we come back, as the basic room we had left us (just) a bit lukewarm about the choice made.

Room Tip: Do not take room n. 5

dear Franz21,
thank you very much for your nice review and for all the comments you added. the entire staff and I are glad to know that you had a positive experience, overall, if you write that you may be coming back in the future.
as you noticed, the location of the hotel is one of our strongest points, according to the majority of our guests: you are in fact downtown, but at the same time also out of the big crowds surrounding Saint Marks' Square.
I am sorry to read about the small problems you experienced and I took good note in order to improve the service also under those sides.
as for the wi-fi connection, a couple of weeks ago (approx.) because we were informed by some clients, we had the technicians who came and checked all the parts of the hotels (public spaces) and the rooms, and the thing was that two antennas were out of order and need to be changed (and this is the reason why you did not have a good service). pieces had to be ordered and they should be installed at the beginning of next week. the point is that - when one of the various antennas breaks downs - the only way we know it is from the guests, signalling that the wi-fi in their room is nod good. I of course apologise for the inconvenience, but any time we know we take actions (then sometimes the problem can be fixed immediately, sometimes we need to change something so a few days are needed, in this case we try to find another solution).
as for toiletries, they vary according to the room category: in your room there was the standard ones, including shampoo, soaps, shower gel...(but no body lotion or conditioner which are present in upper category rooms). we are now changing the toiletries and in a few days we will have here Fragonnard range, including besided the 'usual' stuff bath salts, mouth wash and dental floss. it goes without saying that if a guest asks for conditioner, body lotion, tooth brush, tooth paste, shave foam, razor we will provide them at no cost. and I would like to add that - at least in Italy - it would be basically impossible to find conditioner or body lotion in 2 or 3 stars hotels, and also in quite a few other 4 stars.
the hair driers are the usual ones you find in hotels (the safest ones, considering all the security regulations we have in Italy), but as you pointed out, we can also provide a different one at the reception.
last, but not least, regarding the coffee maker, the kettle is basically for people who want to make their own tea (we have a broad selection), and coffee is usually asked for at the bar because for lovers or espresso it would be difficult to prepare a proper one with the kettle. we will take into consideration your thoughst about it, and thank you a lot again for the time you dedicated to the review.
all of us also hope you will be back, in the future, and we will all try to make your second stay a 100% enjoyable and perfect one!
all the best,
marianna serandrei

We haven't stayed at the Ca Pisani for a long time & decided to stay for one night after renting a holiday flat in the Campo Santa Margherita area.

The hotel is as lovely as I remember it. Rooms are spacious & very comfortable - excellent bathrooms - perfect location & we had a lovely meal in the restaurant - our waiter was charm itself.

Stay here - you won't be disappointed.

We spent 7 days in this wonderful Hotel, we enjoyed the fresh bedlinen and towels every day and
the beautiful bathroom. We loved the breakfast with all the fresh food. The staff was very helpful
and friendly. We celebrate our 40th. wedding anniversary this year, so the journey was a gift to each other ( some kind of "a late wedding-trip). The shops, the museums and the Palazzi are
nearby, it is a very good location. We hope to come back soon.

We recently spent 5 nights at this lovely, unpretentious, modern boutique hotel in the heart of the Accademia neighborhood. The staff were friendly and helpful, suggesting restaurants and taking care of reservations. Breakfast is included and was delicious. A bottle of,proseco was on ice in our room our first night, setting the tone for gracious service. We also highly recommend the area which is quiet yet still an easy walk to sights.

Room Tip: Note. There is no pool or fitness center.

dear Nancy N,
thank you very much for all the positive comments on the hotel. for the entire staff it is a big joy to know that you had a very nice stay, and we all hope to have the pleasure welcoming you again here.
we do not have a gy or pool on our premises, but a small anc cozy steam bath which can be utilised for free (and has to be 'booked' to give us the time to switch it on and have the steam in the room).
as for the gym, we have an agreement with one very close by, on the Zattere, where our guests can go for free.
swimming pools in hotels in Venice are super rare:there are a couple of them which have outdoor pools (one of which a real, proper swimming pool to swim), one has an indoor (which is just to 'plonge' and as far as I know that's it. but on Giudecca Island there is one of the three public lane pools located around Venice. door to door is approximately 15 minutes with a nice boat ride to Sacca Fisola. we do have all infos and timetables at the reception, so next time you come please ask about it!
all the best, and thank you very much again,
marianna serandrei

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Ca' Pisani Hotel. We initially booked the cheapest room but shortly after, I emailed and asked if it would be possible to upgrade the room as we were staying to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel responded swiftly and upgraded our room for €150 (€50 per night) and I was also advised that we would be given a free bottle of prosecco for our anniversary.

We arrived in Venice and made our way by bus from the airport to Venice to the Piazza le roma waterbus stop. We caught the number 2 water bus to Zattere and then walked 2 minutes round the corner to the hotel. We arrived around mid day so we were early to check in but this was no problem for reception and we were given our room key (room 11) and then given a demonstration by the porter of how everything worked in the room. The room has everything you need and more. Mini bar, TV, radio, walk in shower and Jacuzzi bath and wifi.

The hotel is situated in an ideal location to reach everything. A minutes walk in the opposite direction down the street and you reach the accademia and also the accademia bridge. St Marks square can be reached on foot in around 10 minutes. It really was the perfect location. After spending a lot of time looking for hotels in Venice, they all seemed really expensive but a lot were very shabby looking. The Ca' Pisani is well maintained. It has a roof top terrace with some sun loungers on it and also a steam room which we didn't use.

The receptionists were always very helpful and polite. Breakfast was good in a morning serving cereal, fresh fruit and local cakes. Scrambled eggs, croissants, bacon, sausages, fresh juices, coffee, tea etc etc....plenty to choose from!

I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. My only slight complaint is that we never received our free bottle of prosecco :(

10/10 for location. 10/10 for appearance. 10/10 for friendly and welcoming staff :)
