What a lovely hotel and room with a great view of a canal!! It was wonderful to look out the window and just watch the activities. Yes we return again!! The service was very good, and our room was clean!!! The hotel is full of charm, a great feel!! Great location.

Stayed in this hotel in August and had a first floor room. The room and hotel were full of charm. The beds were good and the aircon was great, in fact to cold on some nights. The rom sleeper three and had a separated second bedroom. Breakfast was nice.

The hotel was by the canal and one morning were heard the gondolas signings as the went past.

In all a nice venice an hotel a few mins walk from the st marks square.

1) air conditioning did not work well (and the city was hot!)
2) Wifi did not work at all.
3) Computer available to guests in old, broken (missing keys) and very slow.
4) breakfast quality is average.
5) requested a 2-bed room and was given a 1-bed room. When inquired about this with desk staff, we were told the hotel was sold out, so there was nothing they could do. Oh we'll.
With the number of hotels in Venice, I will certainly stay elsewhere next time.

Stayed in this hotel in March, nice old feel to the hotel, inkeeping with Venice as a whole. Not the easiest to find but when we did, was pleasantly suprised. Crooked staircase is fun to navigate and rooms are clean and changed dailly, once downside is no bar but they do put complementary drinks on from 4.00 to 18.00 everyday, wasn't that busy when we were there but breakfast could be a challenge as the room was small so had to time it well to ensure a long wait wasn't needed.

Had a nice stay, a no frills hotel at a great cost, two anniversary couples enjoyes this trip and would go back again!

This hotel is in a great location, close to everything and very picturesque with old world charm. However, we were unaware before we booked that our room was in what is called the annexe which under ordinary circumstances would have been fine. Our room however had an adjoining suite connected by a simple wooden door through which everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) could be heard including various sounds of ablutions and simple conversation (our neighbours were not trying to be loud). We even heard things that made us try to avoid seeing our neighbours the next day, it reminded us the lack of privacy one experiences in a Backpacker Hotel (fun when one is young but our age...) The connecting door was not soundproofed obviously, I have stayed in similar arrangements in other hotels before but never as bad as this. We had to have the TV on in order to have our own private conversation! We made a complaint which was not followed up and as we were only staying 2 nights decided to just not worry about it and not let it ruin our time in Venice.
If you decide to book Priuli, DO NOT BOOK ROOM 202 (or the adjoining room for that matter) in one of the Annexes!

Room Tip: Again, make sure you do not get a room with adjoining suite.

We booked this through European Destinations, which offered a lot of choices but nothing above 4 stars so we were a little worried that this could be more "rustic" than we are used to. We wanted old world charm and I think this place has it in spades. The marble floors are cracked from the shifting of the building and the staircase is at a crazy angle and we loved all of it! We really felt like we got a truer sense of Venice by staying here. The staff was helpful and friendly, the daily breakfast was all you could ask for and the charm was off the charts. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat, not glamorous (read 5 star) but a unique and charming experience.

Room Tip: We were off the breakfast area and had a great view of the canal....you could hear gondoliers throug...

Arrived at the reception desk to be told there was a problem with the air conditioning in our room and that it was being worked on. We'd have to stay in another hotel round the corner for one night and then move back the following day; this sounded suspiciously like an excuse for overbooking. The replacement hotel, the Ruzzini Palace, was not around the corner. It was several hundred yards away across two canals and a large square, but at least the Priuli gave us their porters to help. The Ruzzini Palace was OK and seems to be a regular fall-back when there are 'problems' at the Priuli. A map left in our room by a previous guest had the route back to the Priuli marked in ink. The Ruzzini was actually OK and the breakfast was better than in the Priuli. Both hotels are in good locations, not far from St Mark's Square and the main Priuli Hotel has lots of character. A coat of paint on our room would have helped though.
