Simplicyty often is synonimus to genius. This cannot be more true than for this modest looking and simple chuch, For anyone such as myself passionate about classical music and particularly found of te baroque style this is where the story begins. This is where Antonio Vivaldi was baptised on the day of his birth and I feel immensly privileged to have visited this place in full knowledge of its history. I was filled with awe and very deep emtion on that day when you consider the simplicity of the surroundings and what came out of it : sheer magnificence. Inside the chuch looks pretty much like any chuch of its time. Very ornate with the usual religious symbols and the lovely decorations. For me the exerience of my visit was made een more poignant when in the background, very softly the music of my most admired composer is being played. It is in my view an absoute must or anyone sharing my passion for the man and his music. Venice means baroque music and baroque music means Vivaldi, therefore Venice means the church of San Giovanni de Bragora.
