I stayed here with my girlfriend 2 weeks ago for 2 nights. The room was good. Decent size with a nice view. Off the beaten track and away from most of the tourists.

Breakfast was extremely basic but we did have it. Safe and secure.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. We had one but the other reviews were less complementary about the hotel...

My boyfriend and I just stayed at this wonderful boutique hotel and felt that we made a great choice for our three nights in Venice. It's located in a lovely, bustling neighborhood in Venice off the beaten path from the hoards of tourists. We used the vaparetto a lot to move around Venice, which was a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the train station stop. Our room was really great! It's clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a small balcony that overlooked the neighborhoood, which was really fun as you could hear the sounds of Venice, yet when you shut the windows the room was incredibly quiet. In fact out of all the places I stayed during our two week vacation this room was by far the quietest, which gave me the best sleep. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful as well, and we enjoyed getting to know them. I would highly recommend a restaurant near the hotel called Birreria. It was the best meal we had in Venice and the staff can tell you how to get there.

I will say that if you reserve a room just know that finding the hotel when you arrive to Venice (which is pretty overwhelming at first) can be a bit tough. Getting lost in Venice is ineivatable, romantic, and fun when you're touring around, but not with all of your luggage trying to find your hotel for the first time. Make sure to get very clear directions from the hotel and ask for them to be as detailed as possible. Ideally ask them for landmarks in addition to street names because that was the only way we found our way through Venice was by landmarks and buildings rather than street names that can be confusing, or sometimes not exist. Overall you'll have a fantastic time at this great hotel!

A bit out of the very touristic neighborhoods, situation is not bad. Some good restaurants and nice bars are close. Rooms are pretty big and clean. Beds are king size. Pretty quiet at night. Breakfast is pretty bad - skip it and go out in a bar to have real coffee. Be aware - can be very expensive and very overpriced depending the season. Staff is rather friendly.

The hotel is in a very good location which is close to the station, the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal. All rooms are located on the first floor which avoids any noise from the street outside, although our room at the rear was over a bar which created some noise until it closed at about midnight, although this wasn't a problem for us. All the staff were extremely helpful and our room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable although we did miss not having an tea and coffee making facilities in the room. For our first time in Venice we were very pleased with our choice of hotel and would highly recommend it.

This is a good choice if you want to be within reasonable walking distance of the train station (although it’s still a good walk, maybe 20 minutes or more) and away from the most congested areas of Venice. It’s very small and the rooms essentially open onto the lobby and common breakfast area. The staff is wonderfully helpful. Our room was quite large with excellent air conditioning, a very nice bathroom and a canal view. With the shutters closed, the room was absolutely quiet at night. The breakfast was fine but not extensive. There are more centrally located hotels, but I prefer a peaceful location such as this.

Far from the noisy bustle of Venice, and yet reasonably close to almost everything, we felt we had made a good choice of hotel at the Locanda Sant'Agostin. The entrance involves a steep flight of steps which might prove difficult for elderly or infirm people. However, once negotiated you find yourself in a clean and friendly hotel which is both reasonably priced and comfortable.
Staff could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable and we would certainly visit this establishment should we be in Venice again.

Room Tip: Try for a room with a glimpse of the canal.

Very comfortable, clean hotel in a central location. We liked that we were in a non-touristy area. Staff was extremely friendly. Only complaint was our room -- room 104, which was essentially a cave. We knew we had booked a "non-view" room, but we were surprised to find that this decent sized room had only one small window which faced a wall. Zero sunlight, which made waking up in the morning a little more difficult. Thank god for the high ceilings. We would return to this hotel but not this room.
