Our trip to Venice was an impromptu one. My daughteer and I decided to go just 2 days before the weekend and we were there just Saturday and Sunday. We did not have a lot of options for places to stay but were lucky to find Apostoli Palace. It was a little off the beaten path in a residential area but we were within walking distance of everything. Perfect. The hotel is charming, very clean, quiet. The breakfast is good. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful 2 days in Venice, in part because our stay at Apostoli Palace was so enjoyable.

I have no complaints about this hotel. It was full of character but also immaculate. The room I stayed in (double for single use) was a decent size, had lovely décor and a spotless bathroom with a bath. It is in a great location for exploring Venice on foot and breakfast was great too. The reception staff were also very friendly. I would describe this hotel as at the very high end of the 3 star rating it has been given.

Traditional, characterful hotel with pretty decor. The breakfast area was quaint with veranda looking out to courtyard, really nice in the morning.

Location was superb, very close to Rialto and easy access to St.Marks but on a quiet side street.

The gentlemen on reception were helpful.

We had a lovely room at the front of the property and didn't really have a problem with noise from others in the communal breakfast area because we were tucked around a corner and behind another room. However I can sympathise with others who have said the walls were thin because one night the women in nearby rooms came back (a bit drunk I think) and were so loud and went on for so long that my husband got up and told them to shut up (this is more a criticism of them than the hotel tho).

One little criticism was that the bathroom tended to be smelly at times, we didn't complain to the hotel as we just thought it was probably normal for Venice (it was however quite niffy at times).

My partner and I stayed here back for a couple of nights back in February 2010. Booked through Hotel Connect, whom have now unfortunately ceased trading, I selected this property after careful research... And I was not disappointed.

We took the Alilaguna from the airport to Fondamentenova, and walked for approx 10 mins through side streets and over little bridges to the property (TIP - print the map from the hotel's website www.apostolipalace.com as it provides very clear directions.

Our whole stay here was perfect. The gentleman on Reception was so helpful with providing restaurant recommendations, directions, opening hours, etc. which really made a positive difference to our first visit to this beautiful city.

We had a lovely double room that was typically Venetian in style, with a small Juliette balcony which we opened for fresh air in the morning (we did not experience any smells from the canals of Venice at all during our trip), and the breakfast room provided enough choice to set us up for the day.

The location of the Apostoli Palace was fantastic, being just a 5 minute walk from Rialto Bridge, and another 5 minutes from St Marks. Nightlife is practically non-existent in Venice, at least it was in Feb, although we found a buzzing little wine bar just a street back from Rialto Bridge which opened until around 2am and played a real range of music which attracted locals and tourists alike!

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable and welcoming base from which to explore the delights of Venice, you will not be disappointed with the Apostoli Palace. I will return for sure, and, as a travel consultant, will not hesitate in recommending this property to my clients.

Our daughter had stayed here earlier in the year, so we took her advice & weren't disappointed. Only a quick stroll into the thick of tourist-laden Venice, but a great little hideaway in a pretty, quiet & charming little corner of Venice. Guiseppe was very helpful, breakfasts were good, & our room was all we could ask for - clean & quite spacious for the 2 of us & our gear. Nice eateries nearby - Trattoria Storica round the corner & Il Paradiso Perduto, a 10 minute walk away were favourites.

A wonderful experience and a great place to stay in Venice. Supurb value. The hotel is just a short walk from the Rialto bridge and the ferry pier to Murano. Even the walk to the Vaporetto water bus stop while wielding our luggage was easy, with no bridges to cross. Our room was clean and charming, surprisingly spacious, nicely decorated, and in a quiet area away from the crowds. Breakfast was the usual fare but very fresh and delicious. Guiseppe was very charming and friendly, informative, and eager to help in every way. We will stay at the Apostoli Palace again during our next visit to Venice.

Guiseppe the owner was very helpful and the breakfast service was discreet, with a good choice for continental breakfast. We had a superior room with balcony, so had plenty of space and because of the location of the room it was quiet ( have read other reviews which may disagree with this; suspect it depends on the individual room ). Ensure you are fit to climb stairs and walk as Venice is not the ideal location for anyone with mobility problems ! Another tip : use the map for the hotel location from their website, we found it easily following their directions. You will be given a local map on arrival with useful tips of what to see depending on how long you are staying in Venice.

Room Tip: San Andrea was quiet
