“We look forward to returning to Ca'Amadi”
Reviewed 3 December 2013

A friend of ours recommended Ca'Amadi and we were so pleased we took the advice. It's in a great location yet quiet and the attention to detail, cleanliness, friendliness and comfort is what will bring us back. We had the room on the canal and it was such a treat to look out the window and almost be able to touch the water. I found the room to be very quiet at night and had no issues with boat traffic noise. It was fun to watch the Gondolas go by in the morning and it felt so quintessentially Venice. One of the other reviewers had perfect directions -- I found Ca'Amadi's online map helpful but check out some of the other reviews for additional guidance. The friend who recommended Ca'Amadi challenged us to find it within 15 minutes of reaching the Rialto but we did it in less than 5 minutes -- it's quite easy. And the morning breakfast was just what we needed to start each day. Lovely place, lovely owners.

Pay attention to the map and detailed instructions on how to get there (they send it to you in an e-mail after you book your stay), otherwise you'll get lost (getting lost in Venice is probably on your to-do list, but still...). Once there, you'll find a very nice room, with a comfortable bed; somebody to greet you with a smile, and to answer you any question about Venice you might think of; a map of Venice with Ca' Amadi's recommendations on where to eat (we chose three locations, and were not disappointed).
Breakfast is varied and sufficient.
Room and bathroom were big enough (although I think we got one of the smaller rooms), and were cleaned/tidied every morning.
Despite being literally 3 minutes away from the Rialto bridge, the location is very quiet.

10/10 would recommend/stay there again.

We had the pleasure of staying at Ca'Amadi for 2 nights in October. Our room was amazing! Huge, canal view, beautiful bathroom and amenities. The hotel is in a great location to walk anywhere. It was minutes walk from the Rialto stop and near many shops and restaurants. Loved looking out the window at all the gondolas passing by, and took a ride ourselves. The hosts did anything they could to be of help. Breakfast was plentiful and adequate. Would LOVE to return to Venice and Ca'Amadi someday!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It has superb staff, always helpful, lovely interesting old fashioned decor, very clean, pleasant breakfast, great location just off Rialto bridge and nice views onto small canal com dining room.

Room Tip: If you want quiet then request non canal side room.

We stayed just ONE night at Ca'Amadi but will return as soon as we are able to stay at least 4 or 5 more.
The position is wonderful and room and breakfast delightful, but it is the professional, friendly and limitless hospitality offered by our host Alberto which made our short time in Venice so special. He is an absolute professional and we were so pleased to receive his warm welcome and have his local knowledge and recommendations for transportation, restaurants etc.

Room Tip: We loved our room with windows over the canal.

We loved this hotel! We had a canal view room and it was magical. We loved seeing the gondolas pass by and hear the gondoliers singing when we opened our window. We didn't notice any noise with our window closed. The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great--just what we needed to start our day in Venice. We loved everything about Ca 'Amadi and would love to go back and stay in our same room.

We were very pleased to find out that this was where Marco Polo had lived. The room was smallish but very sumptuous. The location perfect - very close to the Rialto Bridge. Some reviews have suggested that it was hard to find - we did not find that, in fact it was very exciting going down little alley ways - isn't that what Venice is famous for!! We liked the simple breakfast which was perfectly adequate and reasonable range of things to eat. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We were on the courtyard side so very quiet and a good night sleep in comfortable clean beds. Bathroom was spotless.

Room Tip: If you want a peaceful night sleep ask for the courtyard facing room, but if you want to be woken to...
