Villa Igea is well located just in front of San Zaccaria church and a few meters away of vapporetto stop San Zaccaria. Check-in must be made in their main facility, Savoia & Jolanda hotel. Rooms are great and the rate the hotel charges to have dinner included is an advantage since eating in Venice is really expensive. Overall it has been a great experience.

We went to check in at the hotel and discovered that Hotel Igea doesn't have their own reception staff. We had to go to another hotel about 70 yards down the street to check in. Our room was very small and not updated. The bathroom was nasty as the bathroom heater, located on the wall inside the shower had paint peeling off of it and it was rusty. Every morning at 5:45 am, we were woken up by whom we believe to be hotel staff, with the sounds of doors constantly opening and closing, drawers opening and closing, and other loud noises, which lasted until 8:30am. Overall, was a bad experience and we do not recommend this to anyone. The only good thing was that it was less than 5 minutes away from the square.

Room Tip: Stay away from the maid stations as they will wake you up in the morning.

Perfect location for transport as the public transport is directly out the front door .We arrived by train and paid for a water taxi costing €70 but could have taken the public ferry had we known the drop off point and paid only €7 per person .
Stayed in a room at the back of the hotel and it was very good quality and well serviced .Free wifi which worked well.
Breakfast included and was high quality .Took advantage of the complimentary boat ride to Murano and Burano with the public transport back to the hotel for the €7 per person fee
Missed the lack of tea and coffee making facilities as the only negative
Had stayed on the Grand Canal previously but preferred the freedom of this location and the opportunity to watch the many cruise ships sail past

Stayed 3 nights, great location, just off vaporetto stop for rail station, San Marco etc. breakfast buffet was in Hotel Savoia Jolanda, approx 30 metres down laneway. Breakfast was a very good selection, scrambled eggs & bacon Venetian style. fresh fruit, yogurts, jams, pastries, cold meats, cheese, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee.
The room was very small as was the shower, what you expect in European hotel, but very clean & comfortable. Staff very friendly & helpful.
I would stay here again if in Venice again

A small sister hotel in a nice piazza San Zaccaria
Related to hotel Savoia right on the water edge .the Igea is thru a small tunnel that leads to piazza
A nice church quiet and only a five or ten minute walk to the San Marco area.great convince to vaporettos and Aliguna line. Literally steps.
The breakfast eaten at the Savoia is worth fifty bucks alone, eggs, bacon, pastries,oj,
Fruit, bread ,butter, jam, yogurt ,and when you think you had enough right at the end is a platter of ham, salami ,cheeses, prosciutto . And all the coffee you want, waiters and waitresses are multilingual, speaking excellent English and service is friendly and efficient
The rooms are small ,have cable and wifi.Would I return definitely

Room Tip: Try and be close to transportation,Aliguna boat to and from airport, and vaporetto bus, You will wal...

So close to everything and linked to a waterfront hotel for a lovely breakfast. This place is classy for the price and just a short walk to all of the attractions of Venice we had a room overlooking the square and the opposite church, great welcome and very helpful friendly staff

Room Tip: Get a room on the square

After 8 days at lake Garda I planned to stay with my family in venice for a further 3 nights. Venice prices were much higher than I expected at the villa igea seemed to be the cheapest 3 star hotel within venice.

Basically:
Location is excellent with a very interesting church across the square and only a couple of minutes from st marks square

Check in was easy and very friendly at the sister hotel. Porter took us and bags to room.

The room was maybe a bit dated but it was quiet and we had a nice view across the square. Separate room for daughter which was a bonus!

Breakfast: great location for breakfast room. Breakfast itself was a bit ordinary but then again I've been spoilt a bit recently for buffet breakfasts.

Check out was easy too.
