“Excellent location , helpful staff”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

Just returned from a 2 night weekend in Venice booked through British Airways. Duodo Palace Hotel is located in an excellent location easy access from the Alilunga stops at Rialto and San Marco. I was allocated room #204 , no issues with the cleanliness, bathroom was spotless and very modern.Bed linen was changed daily . Only downside to this room is it feels like a corridor , 2 single beds in line with a chair between. Small wardrobe and in room safe. Doubt this room would be suitable for two people, rather cramped. Excellent Continental breakfast. Extremly pleasant hotel and bar staff. Michael the bar man was very attentive, Thanks for that Michael.

Room Tip: Avoid room 204

Dear Guest,
we're sorry about your disappoint on the room size. You probably didn't tell it to the reception staff. Usually we try to do our best to satisfy our guests and, if possible we provide for a change of room.
Thank you anyway for the lovely words about our staff and our bartender Michael.

I felt the staff at the hotel to be helpful, but a little on the snooty side. I just couldn't help but think they were looking down their noses at us. Besides that, the room was spacious and very clean. The location was excellent with only a short walk to most of the main sites. The hotel was very quiet at night, so we had no trouble sleeping after our long days.

We, my son and I, stayed at the Duodo Palace Hotel on March 10-14 2012. We stayed at many hotels in Europe, but never got so kindly and hearty treatment from the crew who was always ready to help us with EVERY topic. We're still astonish of the amazing experience of the staying at this amazing hotel.
And besides, the location is excellent - 1 minute to the opera house (La Fenice), and a few minutes to San Marco piaza - the central square in Venice.
Sorry if I forgot something... Our grade is 100% !!!!!!!!!
Ciao Duodo Palace Hotel
See you again :-)

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in February, We arrived by private water taxi and it was a amazing experiance, definatly worth the money! So we was dropped off at the hotel and didn't have to worry about trying to find it!! When we checked it we was told that our room wasn't quite ready but they had upgraded us to a deluxe room on the top floor! The room was very nice quite large with fantastic views of Venice.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from all the main attractions, shops and restaurants are also close by.

We was there during the carnival and it was great to see everyone dressed up but it was very busy!

There is a lovely little bar area at the hotel and we would always stop for a drink before we went out for the evening, a little bit pricey 10 euros for a gin & tonic!!

Breakfast in the hotel was nice, cerals, ham, cheese etc

I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family and would definatly stay there again.

The hotel is ideally placed - easy walk to San Marco and St Angelo water bus stops. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is a good choice and comments about it not being so, are picky! Our room (#206) had a canal view and was clean and comfortably. Only had a small issue on one morning - the bathroom for room 205 protrudes into the corner of the room and on our first morning we were woken by a lady with a voice to kill at 100 paces, singing loudly in the bath! Thankfully they obviously left on our first day and were replaced by nice quiet people! The drinks in the bar are very generous measures - trebles at least! All in all - would heartily recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Looking at the floor plan for the second floor, I would say room 207 looks the best to have but 206...

We booked a double room which was a decent size with ensuite bathroom. Both were clean, tidy and in good repair. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Very close to La Fenice Opera House and half way between St. Mark's Square and The Rialto Bridge and an easy walk to both.
