The Liassidi Palace is only a few steps away fom Piazza San Marco. We liked the central but quiet location, the friendly staff and the well-sized rooms in this ancient, typical venetian-style building. If you stay here you will get fore sure one of the best values regarding Venice hotels.

We are coming to the end of a wonderful stay in Venice and recommend this hotel highly. It is warm and friendly and sufficiently off the beaten track of Venice alleyways to be quiet but close enough to all of San Marco attractions.

The staff are all helpful all staff speak an array of languages. Breakfast is typical for a hotel of this standing but prepares you well for the day.

The rooms are clean well appointed and are larger than others in Venice .

We arrived after sunset, but even in the dark it was apparent how beautiful the hotel was! The staff were all extremely gracious and helpful. Our junior suite was spacious for Europe, equipped with strong wifi, and a small fridge in which we stored some cheeses we purchased. Breakfast buffet by the canal was delicious. One thing to note for ladies with thicker hair - the dryer is rather low powered (the wall attachment kind, with the wand and tube). The walls are thin and you can hear voices of your neighbours and footsteps in the hall, as well as street noise from passers by, which might be an issue if you are a light sleeper. Location was good, and it is only a 20 minute ride by private water taxi to the hotel's dock.

My family and I stayed at the Liassidi Palace Hotel Dec. 9th 2013 for two nights. This is a charming, beautiful, well-located, well-run hotel. The staff couldn't have been any nicer to us (one person in a wheelchair.) From helping us unload off the wheelchair-accessible water-taxi, to giving us directions, to booking a free water-taxi to the Murano glass factory, to making last-minute phone calls when our flight got cancelled, to replenishing our tea bags/sugar/milk immediately upon request, we received outstanding service during our stay. The location is fabulous - a 5 minute walk to Piazza San Marco (once you've found your way through the streets.) There are restaurants, cafes, and stores close by, and the hotel has canal access/ramp for the convenience of water taxi travel. We informed the hotel that we would be celebrating my mother's birthday during our stay in Venice, and not only did they upgrade our Jr. Suite to a fabulous top floor suite, but also gifted her a beautiful book on Venice! The hotel is comfortable, beautiful, charming, with kind-hearted people working there. We will definitely want to stay here when we're in Venice again. We're totally satisfied and happy with Liassidi Palace Hotel.

We were so pleased with our stay here (4 nights). Our room was recently remodeled (406) and was spacious for Europe with a wonderfully upgraded bath. The staff was extremely accommodating without being overly attentive. The included breakfast was good with many options. The location was perfect; not in a touristy area but a short walk to San Marco square. Because we were there in December many of the restaurants closest to the hotel were closed, as they are more focused on locals. But we were able to find many delicious restaurants within a short walk. We would absolutely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed in March of 2013 and could not not have enjoyed it more. The feel of the place is quietly elegant and very relaxing. Not far from St Marks and some great little restaurants quite close ( recommend Oliva Nera, very funny couple running the show but great food).
The rooms are very nicely appointed and the staff were a cheery crew and very efficient and could not do enough for you)
It was pretty well priced too given where it is situated.
Highly Recommended.
