Just returned from a 3 night break - 6 ladies. This is a lovely hotel, the location is excellant. We arrived in a private water taxi from the airport right to the door. Believe me if you can afford it this is the way to travel. We were lucky to be able to split the cost between 6. The rooms are lovely and very clean. The breakfast room is only small but we never had a problem getting a table. Breakfast was continental plus bacon and scrambled eggs. Plenty of choice. The staff in this hotel deserve a special mention they are so helpful and friendly. St Marks Square about a 15minute walk. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Reasonably priced but the cheapest drinks we had were in the hotel. The bar closed at 10, but we were asked if we wanted more drinks at ten and could sit and drink them leisurely. We did a free city walking tour and this lasted four hours. When the tour finished the guide Francesco joined us for a Bellini ant then proceeded to take us to a small bar for Aperol(Italian Campari type drink with prosecco) and to show us some reasonably priced restaurants not far from the hotel. For ladies who like shopping there are the usual designer shops, plenty of gift/Murano glass shops(lots of imitation but the price reflects this)and my personal favourite - hundreds of handbag shops. We hope to return next year for another friends special birthday. Ciao
