“Great Hotel. Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's square, where all the main attractions in Venice are. Many good restaurants nearby. It is just a 10 minute walk from the St. Zaccaria Vaporetto station. The breakfast was excellent with many varieties. Rooms are super clean and spacious compared to European standards. The staff are great and very friendly. Thank u all for making our stay very pleasant. One thing negative is that the air condition was not working. They told us they start operating it in June.

We have been to Venice before and stayed at the Hotel Saturnia and much preferred that hotel. There was really nothing wrong with this hotel but the level of service and care at the Saturnia was not matched by the Liassidi. It is certainly in a nice location but our room was below average even by Venice standards. We did book late so I think we had one of the worst rooms. Our window looked onto a wall and our other window strangely looked over the reception area so we needed to keep our curtains closed a lot of the time. I am sure the other rooms were much nicer. The front desk staff was good but one man was rather snooty and not very helpful. The hotel had a nice little courtyard where you could get drinks but we did not try that. If you are staying in Venice for one or two nights this hotel is good but nothing to write home about.

The Liassidi Palace is located in the old Greek section of the city and for us was a perfect location. Daniele [Manager] was absolutely fantastic, his suggestions and directions were spot-on which made getting around Venice so much easier and delightful. We lucked out got got one of the newly renovated rooms [407] which made the experience even that much better. The breakfast every morning was great and the staff so attentive we kind of felt bad being waited on hand & foot. We are already planning our next trip back to Venice and we are definitely staying at Liassidi Palace again!!!

Room Tip: Ask for either rooms 406 or 407 for these rooms were the first to be renovated February 2014. No oth...

My wife and I chose this hotel because of its central location to all the sites and we were not disappointed, we stayed three nights. The hotel is just a 5 minute gentle stroll to Piazza St Marco, restaurants, sites and shopping. The staff are just great and were extremely friendly and helpful, the central courtyard was a great little location to relax and unwind after spending the day sightseeing before heading out again for dinner. Our room (203) was wonderfully comfortable with a large downstairs area with the bed located on a mezzanine level, tastefully decorated and with all the necessities for your needs. We would definitely be back, thanks again to the staff who made our stay a delight.

We stayed in various cities throughout Italy, this was our last stop. It was so nice to finally have a larger bathroom and bedroom. More modern decor than most hotels. Very nice. Staff very helpful and efficient. Close enough to St Mark's to see the sites near and around it. Good dining options all within walking distance. Small, atrium bar perfect for before or after dinner. I give my travel a gold star for picking this one.

This is not a review of the hotel per se because we didn't stay there. Instead, we dropped in for a drink after passing by the hotel several times and noticing quite how nice the courtyard area was. After eventually going in, we were delighted by the quality of the service, the drinks, and the small savouries that were offered. It was such a nice place to relax and get away from the crowds. If the hotel is anything like its courtyard and the same level of service exists throughout, it must be a hell of a place to stay!
