“Quaint B and B in Venice”
Reviewed 3 August 2013

We stayed at Ca'della Corte for 3 nights, from July 21-24th.When I was searching for accommodations in Venice, I was stunned at the prices which are consistent with everything else in this beautiful city. I had read reviews on this B and B, and we share their satisfaction. We had a room on the very top floor, close to the lovely terrace where guests take their meals. The location is wonderful and all the staff were more than amenable. The breakfasts are plentiful and there is always fresh fruit waiting for the guests, after a sweltering day in the city, and rooms are quiet and comfortable. All in all, this is a gem and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed from 16th - 19th July 2013 as the first leg of a trip all round Italy, and this was an amazing first taste of the country. We had a warm and helpful welcome from Kate, our host, and were upgraded to Henry's Heaven, a nearby, two-floor suite in beautiful Dorsoduro. This is a fantastic location in the shadow of the Chiesa Dei Frari, away from the tourist hubbub in a charming residential area of Venice that was conveniently close to the Piazzale Roma and the train station nevertheless. The interior (air-conditioned!) was quintessential Venetian without being garish and the apartment was spacious and comfortable, with wonderful facilities (a kitchenette / living area downstairs and bedrooms upstairs) and a private courtyard. We had fantastic recommendations for places to eat from Kate, who was a lifesaver = when a fuse blew in our apartment on the first night! We lucked out with breakfast - guests at Henry's Heaven get vouchers to two next-door cafes, both of which served excellent pastries and coffee (there's more choice at the larger of the two, Bottega del Caffe Dersut, which was very popular with Venetian locals). This is a fantastic base from which to explore Venice and phenomenally good value, and the main B&B looks to be just as lovely - we'll be back!

We stayed one night here on the way to a Mediterranean cruise. What a splendid place, close to Piazzale Roma and the Cruise Docks, yet manageable on foot to Rialto and St. Mark's. Santa Croce is a less touristy area with many locals, very quiet at night and close to Campo Santa Margerita. The only problem we had was that the hotel has bad sound proofing, but what can you expect from a several hundred year old palace?

Room Tip: Don't choose the blue room, as it is very close to the reception and kitchen - or bring ear plug...

My wife and I stayed at Ca' della Corte July 5-7, 2013. Actually, this is the second time we lodged there (first time in 2005) and we enjoyed even more this time. The location is very good and the quality/price ratio is hard to beat.

The strong points are the personalized attention given by the owner (Kate). For example, we had 2 friends stopping for a chat and she offered (at no cost) fruit juice. Also, the day we checked out, we left the luggage until we had to go to the trains station, and Kate gave us tea, coffee, fruits and various snacks.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and air conditioned. Breakfast in the terrace was very enjoyable, and the croissants with marmalade inside were very fresh and well done.

Like most places in Venezia, there is no elevator, and the reception is in the second floor. This is a minor nuisance but might be important for senior people.

If we return to Venezia, we will certainly go to Ca' della Corte.

Tucked in the side streets of Venice, in Dorsoduro lies this very well-designed boutique B&B. The host gave us directions to the B&B which was fairly easy to follow. Upon our arrival, the host showed us around, including the roof deck. The rooms were very well designed with a feel of "venetian". The best part of our stay was, breakfast was served inside our bedrooms. We had the classic room which was very bright and roomy (as described on their website). There's a sitting area in our room so having breakfast there was perfect since the sun was scorching hot and we couldn't enjoy our breakfast on the roof deck. The host was very accommodating. She helped us make reservations to restaurants and also gave us great recommendations to some restaurants that didn't require reservations on our first night of arrival. Overall a great B&B experience and will definitely stay again if I go back.

we ,a retired couple stayed in 2 different apartments on our way to and from Venice. Both apartments were very well appointed and comfortable .They were in a quiet, safe area within walking distance of all tourist sights, cafes ,shops etc.
Enrica was very welcoming and we got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble for her.The apartments were also very good value for such a central location. We would recommend them without hesitation and already our children are planning to stay there.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon. It was very pleasant and reasonably good value for Venice. It is in a very quiet courtyard and the staff are all friendly and helpful. We would recommend it.
