“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2012

We stayed in Venice in May 2012 for 3 nights. This hotel is in a great location, just behind St Marks Square & 5min walk from the Rialto Bridge. We had a triple room which was great as there was actually two rooms with a door between. The room was very clean & the staff were helpful & very friendly. The breakfast room on the top floor of the hotel was lovely with windows in the roof that open out to views of the rooftops of Venice. There are heaps of restaurants in the vicinity that won't disappoint. The hotel was also very quiet, we didn't get any street noise.

Stayed for 3 nights in May. We stayed in the standard room which was very nice and very clean. If you stuck your head out the window you could see the small canal right nearby. Very easy to find the hotel at the far side of San Marco straight up a small ally and the first right, hotel just before the small canal and bridge. Breakfast was filling and fresh pastry's were delicious. We always sat by the windows which overlooked the fabulous rooftops of Venice. Would stay here again friendly staff.

We loved the location of this hotel! It's directly between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto and you're only a few minutes walk from the major attractions. There are also a lot of cute little cafes and restaurants around that offer you a variety of choices and price points for meals.

The room offered plenty of space for us and was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was always fresh. All in all, it was good quality for the price.

The only downside is that for security reasons, the front door of the hotel is always locked so you have to get buzzed in. They typically only have 1 person working the front desk at a time so if they are away from the desk when you come back you sometimes have to wait a few minutes to get it. It'd be nice if they could give you a key to the front door or a code or something so you can left yourself in in case you're in a rush or it's a little chilly out.

My wife and I stayed at Ca'del Campo for 4 nights. The hotel is superbly situated close to all the famous sites. The room 301 was superb clean, comfortable and for Venice-roomy.The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast on the top floor provided a fine selection of goodies and in addition by way of bonus - a superb view of rooftop Venice and even the Campanile. No hesitation in recommending it to all travellers to this lovely city.Watch out for mosquitoes and for restaurants putting on large cover and service charges which can spoil a nice evening one Pizzaria added 17euro on a 40 euro bill!!

Room Tip: WE were at the rear -no views but peaceful watch for mosquitoes

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights towards the end of April and the hotel was brilliant. Our room was great, (room 201) and tucked away at the back of the building meant we both slept really well. The room was a good size and clean. The wide variety of food offered at breakfast set us both up nicely for two days of wandering around a beautiful city. Would definitely recommend staying here, you cannot ask for a better location or a nicer hotel.

My daughter and I arrived in Venice wondering how we would find this hotel. Fortunately an elderly gentleman rescued us and delivered us to the hotel. Not sure we would have found it as the entrance is just a door. Once inside we were made very welcome and spoken to in English. Our room was really two rooms and spacious. The bathroom was very tidy but small and a large person would not have fitted into the shower. Breakfast was on the top floor with roof top views. Lovely crockery too. Being 5 minutes from St Marks square was great. We took a city walk which helped us get our bearings.
