“Peacefull location”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

In part of our honeymoon we stayed two nights in this hotel. Hotel located in a really peacefull area, which was nice as in Venice there are so many tourists and lot of places are so crowded.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, welcoming drink were nice bonus. Staff was really friendly and helpfull, they made as feel really welcome there.
We got first floor room by the canal. Room itself was spacious, alltough toilet were in a small closet. Also our room´s aircondition did not shut off and the room did get maybe a little bit too cold.
We definately would stay in this hotel again.

Truth be told, the hotel per se was not that bad (apart from the broken shower wall & paper thin covers). However, I would stay again or recommend due to the area being perhaps Venice's most run down, deserted and of shady character. We are convinced we heard a gunshot on Saturday night. Close to Jewish Ghetto and San Alvise Vapparetto Station.

We stayed at the Residenza Cannaregio in March 2014 and was bowled over by the charm and quaintness of this hotel. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy and room in which we stayed was spread over two floors, beautiful.

The staff were extremely helpful and had a great knowledge of the area which they are more than willing to share.

There was a small bar which was very quiet and a small breakfast room which served adequate selection but was only opened for breakfast, no evening meals. However this is not an issue was there is a huge selection of restaurants close by.

This is a gem of a hotel and well worth staying at.

I have stayed with this hotel before and this is my second time with them.

As usual standard room, very helpful staff. If you need to get something, you need to walk for approx 8 - 10 mins to get to have breakfast/ dinner and shopping area (not central shopping area)

Approx 15mins from the main train terminal to the hotel. If you don't want to walk. you need to take Water Bus 4.1 - 4.2. If you want to get to Munino, it is only 20mins away by Water bus! Room can be improve a bit, Since I feel the room is getting old.

Last, Free Wifi is available. Please ask when you check in to the hotel.

This hotel was well situated in Venice with little restaurants and shops located close by. The rooms were clean and well maintained and the outside seating area a nice place to relax in the evening. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. The staff weren't particularly welcoming but we found that generally the way with the locals. (We must have had the rudest most miserable Gondolier on the island on the day we took the Gondola).

We really liked this hotel - it was clean, modern, and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. However, do not use Google maps to get walking directions - you'll never get there! Buy a good street map of Venice and you'll get there from the train station in about 15 minutes. Our room was a two-story family room overlooking the canal. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and had a separate room for the toilet, which is nice when there are 4 in the room. Nice bar with good coffee for a very reasonable price. Short walk (about 10 minutes) in one direction to the shops and restaurants on the Strada Nova, and about 10 minutes the other way to the shops and restaurants heading towards the train station and the Rialto. Good wifi and a nice collection of newspapers in the lobby for your morning reading enjoyment. Took us about 15 minutes to walk to the Piazzale Roma to catch a taxi to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the canal are quiet and have a nice view

We were traveling with our two sons 21 & 23 and shared a wonderful room with a sofa sleeper and lofted area that gave us some privacy. The breakfast was the best we had during our 14 day stay in Italy (eggs and fresh fruit). The staff we quite nice and helpful. There is a lovely courtyard and a full bar on site. What we loved most was that the hotel is located in more of a residential area vs a busy touristy part of Venice.
