On stepping out of the train station at VENICE we were thrilled at the Grand Canal glinting in the sunshine before us, and to see our hotel sitting delicately right across.
We were a largeish group of 14, and had booked all the possible combinations, The canal view rooms are truly gorgeous. But our rooms and suite in the Annexe were also were also perfectly good. and with the Grand Canal right outside I dont think we missed the window views.
The hotel staff are super helpful and friendly. The breakfast is fabulous. We specially enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the view of life in Venice go by as we nibbled on cheese or sipped coffee on a lazy morning.
It does add to the Venice experience that you dont have to trudge around with luggage hunting for your hotel and that you can sit out even at 2.00 am and enjoy the grand spectacle of the Canal.
We also enjoyed the free Murano tour organised by the hotel, and the boys enjoyed their outing to the Casino at night.
We only wish we could have stayed longer at the Antiche Figure!

Stayed here with my daughter for six nights. Loved every minute. We did upgrade to room with a canal view. Wow it was worth it. We had three windows looking out on The Grand Canal and it was beautiful . The stonework around one of the windows was from the 14th century. With that and the lovely room we had I felt like I was back in Casanova's time. Hotel staff are all pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was fine. Nice bar and places to sit outside the hotel. They made some of the best Aperol Spritz we had in Venice. Great location for boats, walking and five minutes away from bus to the airport. If you go to the right when you come out of the hotel just over the large bridge your in the Cannaregio area. We really did enjoy our holiday at this hotel.

This lovely hotel on the Grand Canal was everything I hoped it would be for the first stop of our honeymoon on a tour of Italy. Situated opposite the Venezia Santa Lucia train station and a 10 minute walk from Piazzale Roma (final stop for cars/taxis), it is probably one of the easiest hotels to get to in Venice.

The staff were very welcoming upon our entrance and were at hand throughout our stay, reserving us a table at the Algiubagio restaurant and helping us out with a map of all the necessary sites to visit.

The room was nicely decorated and although on the small side (which is to be expected in Venice) it had all the necessities covered (i.e. air-con, free wifi) and a very comfortable bed.

When booking the room, I requested a room with a view of the Grand Canal and we definitely got that! Out of three separate windows were different views of the canal and some of the walkways, perfect for boat and people watching!

And the breakfast that was included in the price of the room was as expected, cold meats and cheese, pastries, bread and preserves, along with juices and tea/coffee. Nothing to write home about but still enjoyable.

I would definitely urge others to stay at this hotel, it's a great base in Venice, 20 mins walk to the Rialto Bridge and 30 mins to St. Marks Square. And perfect if you are visiting other areas of Italy due to its proximity to the train station.

Thanks again to all the staff, wish we had been able to stay for a few more nights!

Room Tip: One of the key reasons that I chose this hotel (apart from it's already brilliant reputation on...

We arrived Venice 7th August 2014 let down by previous pre-booked apartment. Hotel Antiche Figure, came to our rescue & helped us out with rooms & amazing customer service. We were 5 adults 1 child 6 suitcases, tired & stressed and they helped us sooo much. The rooms were
lovely, very clean, breakfast outside overlooking the Grand Canal or in, fabulous. The location was perfect just over the bridge from the train station. We even had a view of the canal from our room. Can't speak highly enough of the hospitality. Anyone thinking of Venice this is perfect.

Room Tip: Our room had a side window with view of canal.

Stayed here last week from Thursday until Sunday. This is a really lovely hotel in an excellent location by the Grand Canal opposite the train station. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good, lovely to sit on tables outside, the hotel was clean and we had a good sized room with a lovely bathroom. The hotel provided a free boat to the island of Murano and sorted all that out for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend very highly.

Stayed two nights. Location was perfect for us. Right on the grand canal, across from the train station away from the bustling crowds of San Marco square , yet only a 15 minute water taxi ride away. Service was exceptional, rooms were a little small but lovely. Really enjoyed having our breakfast outside right along the grand canal. Also had a drink one night outside and it was nice to sit and watch the people and boats go by. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel and would not stay anywhere else in Venice.
