Right in the heart of Venice, the staff in this gem of a hotel will have you relaxing the second you walk in the door. Only a 20 min walk or 3 stops on a vaporetto from the train station, the location is also perfect for all the sights. Our room had an espresso machine and complimentary water (still and fizzy) was replenished each day. We were in room 101 which is small but beautifully appointed and on a corner giving terrific canal and street/bridge views. High ceiling with a stunning murano glass chandelier added to the grandeur. Lovely large marble bathroom with roomy shower. Amazing value but no evidence anywhere of corner cutting. Quite the opposite in fact - the place has a real boutique feel.

I spent two delightful stays at Ca’ Gottardi in May of 2014.
This boutique hotel is very well-situated in Cannaregio, a short walk from 2 vaporetto stops, which give easy access to different parts of Venice. The hotel itself is very well-appointed with lovely impeccable rooms, a library/office with PC for guest use and a gorgeous breakfast room. Although renovated to the best standards, the hotel retains a lot of the charm of a small Venetian palace.

The real treasure of this hotel is it’s excellent staff – congratulations to Fabio, George and Diego for their excellent work and for making the guests feel so much a part of the Ca’ Gottardi. I have rarely come across such attentive staff, very sincere in their willingness to accommodate their guests.

All in all, a delightful stay that I hope to repeat on the near future.

The service there was amazing. The people were beyond friendly and helpful and the room was incredible with a great view. I couldn't have been happier. Our bed was comfortable. They had complimentary water, espresso and wifi. It was an overall great experience.

We have travelled all over the world without meeting more helpful and genuinely kind staff. It was all the little extra touches such as Easter eggs or fresh fruit salad in the afternoon that made such a difference. We cannot wait to return and only wish the staff from much more expensive hotels would learn from the Ca' Gottardi.

The staff at this hotel cannot do enough to help you! All of the people went out of the way to assist and were, without exception, friendly and happy. It is well-situated on a canal near Ca D'Oro ferry stop and is a beautiful space. There is a balcony off the breakfast area where you can enjoy a cappuccino as you rest your well-walked feet! Bellisimo!

We had a beautiful suite overlooking the waterway and breakfast was perfect. We cannot praise the staff enough for their friendliness, help and very warm welcome. Hotel is in a fantastic location central to everywhere you decide to wander in this amazing city. Thank you to all the Staff at Ca'Gottardi for all your hard work and for being such nice people :)

The staff at Ca"Gottardi is wonderful, friendly and very helpful. The place is clean, quiet and in a great location. Breakfast is lovely. I would definitely stay here again. They allowed us to rest in the lounge, since we go there early, with a cup of coffee. They held our bags before and after we checked in/out. The directions they gave us to all the sights we wanted to see were excellent.
Thank you Hotel Ca'Gottardi

Room Tip: We had a junior suite.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
In the heart of Venice, just around the corner from Ca' d'Oro and the Casino, Ca' Gottardi's superior location is one of the best. Its rooms and ambiance aspire to be one of the most sophisticated structures in Venice where traditional art and innovative design combine in a rare elegance. Ca' Gottardi provides charming accommodations, each unique, in the most elegant Maison de Charme style. Its interiors are the result of an attention to details with regard to materials and techniques and a heightened sensitivity in approaching forms and volumes in accordance with Venetian artistic tradition. Clean and modern design is reflected in the entrance stairway of pure white marble and balustrade in crystal, where light creates unique effects. In addition to the piano nobile, guests are welcomed with a unique elegance, in which the creativity of Italian design enriched by a touch of luxury that is typical of the great patrician residences. Ca' Gottardi occupies the main floor of an antique Venetian palace from the XV century, then known as Ca' Priuli. Ca' Gottardi overlooks the Rio de Noal with a balcony covered by a beautiful late 17-th century quadrifora window. From here, you can admire Ca' Pesaro to your right, today the home of the Modern Art Gallery. Here are Ca' Gottardi's rooms, a world of class and refinement, for an unforgettable stay. Furnishings have been crafted by experts, in the classical Venetian 18th-century style, and evoke that noble elegance that has made Venice famous throughout Europe. Fine brocade curtains and carpets provide a warm contrast to a light-filled ambience created by the high ceilings and large windows. The world-famous art of glass is displayed in the chandeliers, the appliqués and in the gold-framed mirrors. Parquet floors in African woods in warm tones of red and brown are laid with rich soft carpeting. ... more   less
