- Well, this is one hotel where we did our own check in upon arrival. We arrived at 3pm and when we knocked on the door, we were told by the mike fixed on the door to go up to the 2nd floor. So we went up and there, on the mirror, there was a white paper pasted with instructions as to how to open the door, how to order breakfast, etc. The so-called Reception was unmanned for most of the time.Funniest was when we wanted an adapter (and since there was no one at the desk), my husband was instructed over the phone by the owner to go to her Reception desk, open the second drawer, move the papers and on the left there is one. We laughed about it and felt at C/O, probably we will be instructed to go to the bank, punch our credit card PIN and pay it ourselves.
- Anyways, Juliana(she works at the desk at certain times) was a sweetheart and very willing to help. She is the only one working there it seems and there is a owner who is never seen. She helped us out with maps and directions, etc.
- Breakfast was served in the room at our designated time and is very basic.
- Wi fi speed was good. Another funny thing was the wi fi password. I have never seen such a long wi fi password in my life and I am not joking. It was something like - as12hk45ghrt67nk56nkk87nmkl34hjku567mkkhu.
- Room was tiny and just enough for the two of us.If you have a lot of luggage, you need to think the type of room that you wish to book.
- Plz go to their website before arrival and print out the exact direction as to how to reach the hotel from the canal. Otherwise Venice has so many small roads and canals, that you can easily get lost and roam around the same place without knowing how close you are to your desired location.
- No lifts. So be prepared to carry your own luggage up the stairs.
- There are some restaurants nearby some of which are good.
- Clean rooms and bathrooms with daily housekeeping. No bottled drinking water being provided.
