On our first visit to Venice in May 2013, we chose to stay at the hotel because of its proximity to the city centre.
Upon reaching the hotel we had to climb a flight of around 20 steep steps with our luggage and after having done that, we were disappointed to be greeted by the lady at the reception. She had a sour face and spoke rudely to us and did not even bother to listen to what we had to say. She just wanted to finish off her work and gave us a room.
The room was very small and with a bad view. The washroom was also small- little bigger than an aircraft WC.
Further, the WIFI works only in the lobby so if you need to access the internet, you will have to climb down to the lobby area and use it with many hotel occupants sitting next to you, making it look like a public wifi zone!
Further, throughout our stay in Italy and Spain in May 2013, all the hotels were kind enough to provide us umbrellas for a short time- when we needed it due to the rains. THIS HOTEL DENIED US even a single umbrella saying that umbrellas are not for guests. We were totally disappointed with this.More
