The hotel is very beautiful and we got a very big room for what we paid for. The location is good, near the San Marco Square (5 mins walk), it's not too hard to find. It is located right by small canal and off the main street which makes it's quite and good for staying.

Not far from the hotel there're several restaurants and supermarket where you can find food.

The service is great, the breakfast is nice, and everything is so clean.

We are really enjoy our stay here.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend. Initally we were given the wrong room but luckily the lady noticed before we started unpacking. Then we got upgraded to a nicer room for free and as well as the bedroom, it had a separate room for the sofa (it was a sofa bed). Nice and big room. Shower only, which wasn't too powerful but hot enough for us.

The location was great. Its quiet but still very central and right by some lovely canals.

The only thing is that breakfast was quite limiting. I would have preferred some cooked breakfast - perhaps some eggs and sausages as well as the croissant, cereals, ham and cheese.

We couldn't book the gondola ride through the hotel as the company that organise them don't work on Sundays and limited availability, but its easy enough to go to the river and negotiate with them.
We paid 40 Euros each for a private gondola ride which was just right. Its cheaper if you book in a group but perhaps its less romantic.
Overall it was a lovely stay and I would recommend the hotel.

Lovely hotel, I had asked for a room with a view if possible, we got this amazing room at the front of the hotel with balcony and view over a small canal, really great.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, we had forgotten to take and adaptor to recharge our phone and they offered us to recharge it on their pc.
The only minus point for me was the breakfast, it would have been nice to have some brown bread and more fruit.
Apart from that I highly recommend this place!

This past October, we had the wonderful opportunity to spend two weeks in Italy, four days and three nights of which we spent in Venice. We were so fortunate to have found the Palazzo Schiavoni to use as our home base and highly recommend it. Our room was delightful and very clean, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and pleasant in every way and the rates were comparatively reasonable considering the hotel's excellent location and all that it had to offer. There was also a very nice "cold" breakfast (including boiled eggs, lunch meats, cheeses and a variety of pastries, breads and cereal) that helped us begin each morning on a very positive note! We had the sense of being in a very relaxed atmosphere, not crowded or bustling in any way--lovely!

Another important aspect of the hotel, as I already mentioned, is that it is located in a lovely, safe area that is close to everything that we wanted to see in the few days that we had. (I do have to forewarn you though, that despite some very good maps, we had a bit of a problem finding it for the first time! Our problem, I'm sure! That's Venice--many convoluted and narrow alleys!) We were fortunate, however, because our flight from the US arrived around noon; and we made our first navigation of Venice walkways during daylight hours! We just made a few wrong turns and then got directions from a shopkeeper who was more than happy to help. Once the concierge gave us a good map and some detailed advice, we had no problems and spent most of our three days walking and seeing everything that we had hoped to see very easily. We even took the public transportation out to the islands of Murano and Burano.

Our stay in Venice was truly memorable and the great staff at the Palazzo helped to make it so.

We were very impressed by the lovely and helpful staff member upon our check in late on a Saturday evening. The apartment was decorated in Venetian style, with a canal view, and was spotlessly clean! Very close to the tourist areas, but just far enough away to be peaceful and lovey.Would recommend for families!

Stayed at Palazzo Schiovani for 3 nights in December. Very good stay, ony problem was that we had to complain every night that there was no hot water, and then the geyser would be switched on. Other than that it is an adequate hotel. Excellent rooms, with traditional cold breakfast. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and the hotel was close to most major attractions, and easily accessible.

We stayed here for 4 nights 12/16-12/19/12.

Perks:
-Friendly, helpful staff. They spoke English very well.
-Very clean room (and we had a view!)
-Breakfast if brought to your room daily. It was delicious and perfect!!!
-Just a 7 minute walk to St. Mark's Square
-Just across the bridge out front and to the right about 500 feet there is a small grocery store
-Safe, secure location

Areas to Improve:
-I think the outside of the hotel could use a larger sign. It would be easy to walkby if you weren't paying attention. This is just an observation, and nothing against the hotel.
-The pillows were very hard.
