The rest if the reviews on here say it all, this hotel is simply superb & cannot be faulted in any way. From the second you arrive to check in it is an absolute pleasure to stay here. The staff are all extremely friendly & helpful & cannot do enough to ensure your stay is as enjoyable & comfortable as possible. The welcome drink while you check in is very much appreciated! The breakfasts are a real treat, a great selection of things to choose from & the ham & cheese omelette cooked fresh is highly recommended! The evening buffet selection is a lovely way to start the evening and even treating yourself to a few drinks at the same time is great value at 3 euros per glass of wine, Spritz, proscecco or beer, far cheaper than you will find anywhere near San Marco!! The hotel location is perfect for arriving at the bus station, less than 5mins walk & impossible not to find if you have a quick check of the map beforehand. The walk back up to the nearest water bus stop at Piazzale Roma is not much more than 5mins either & there are a couple more stops in less than 10mins walk if you want to vary where you get on & off. It's about a 30 min stroll to San Marco & you can easily follow the various signs and vary your route each time. We stayed in room 2 on the ground floor and it was perfect, clean, lovely decor & a nice spacious shower. Nespresso coffees are appreciated in the room also! If you want a great place to stay in Venice that cannot do enough to look after you, is easy to find & close to transport links don't waste your time looking around just book straight into the Moresco, I can guarantee you'll be 100% happy that you booked here. This hotel is a real credit to all the people that work here.

The Hotel Moresco is a lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staff.
We booked this hotel based on its reviews and were not disappointed. From check-in to check-out the staff accommodated to our every need from booking excursions to providing adapters and ironing board
.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Venice.

I’ll start with the problems. The shower-surround leaked water onto the bathroom floor, but the hotel soon moved us next door. We could not master the satellite TV in either room but I’m sure that would have been fixed if we had cared enough. Otherwise it was first class. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Fabio who picked out and booked several restaurants for us. The breakfast buffet was massive with eggs and bacon also on offer. Late evenings we relaxed in the well-stocked and quiet bar. Whenever we stay at a hotel in Venice Moresco will be top of our list.

Every January, I come to Vicenza for a fair; I always tack on one night in Venice before flying back the next morning. I've learned the fast/easy way into Venice is by taxi from Marco Polo Airport (40 Euros and 20 minutes). The taxis stop in Piazalle Roma, so I searched for a great hotel a short walk from there and found it in the Moresco!! Amazingly "soft landing"...greeted with Prossecco and treats in the library while my bags were delivered to my room...nice! The entire hotel is chic and beautiful...rich and Venetian, while modern at the same time. The amazing rain shower with Bissecca tiles is fantastico! All of Venice is within walking distance (a beautiful 30-minute stroll to St. Marks'), but I really recommend taking a left out the front door and visiting the University district...full of youth, locals, dogs running free...super charming.

Room Tip: My room was in the back facing a small garden. A canal view is available, but I loved the quiet pea...

My Wife and I joined up with my Daughter and Grandson for a 2 night break here. I am not going to repeat all the accolades of the other reviewers because they have already said it all, instead I would simply say that we all really enjoyed our stay and were very satisfied with the Hotel.
We had room 109 on the first floor and it had a lovely view of the canal. In the warmer months if you like the windows to be open then a canal view room might not be such a good choice as the many boats going to and fro start very early in the morning and can make a bit of a noise. We had no such problem because the temperature of the room was well controlled and we did not need to open a window. The shower was perfect and the breakfast was excellent and the location was ideal being walking distance to most of the tourist sights and close to the bus and rail stations. A great choice for a Venice Hotel.

I can only echo what others have reported - this hotel is a delight. We booked cheap flights with BA from Gatwick and stayed at the Moresco for two nights, booking one of the deals on the hotel's own website. Even the weather colluded with us and we left behind rain and floods in England and found Venice to be cold but dry; perfect for exploring the city. As others have reported - it was a bit of a struggle to find the hotel, even with directions from the lady in the information booth in Piazzale Roma. There is a map of the hotel's location on their website but perhaps they could highlight the bridges and paths you should take from the Piazzale which seems to be where most people arrive. It's easily walkable within about five minutes but it took us around twenty. We arrived at the hotel at midday and were invited to wait in the lounge with a complimentary latte and home made biscuits; our room was ready within the half hour.

Our room was on the second floor next to the lift, overlooking the courtyard with a sideways view of the canal. We had no complaints about the room which was a reasonable size with a large, comfortable bed, desk and chair, fridge and a small walk in closet containing a safe. We found the heating/air conditioning control responsive and easy to use. The bathroom had some lovely features from the small irridescent tiles in the shower to the unusual sink. We had the use of a gown and slippers and the toiletries included a shampoo, conditioner, bath foam (used as a shower gel) and a body lotion - these were replenished the next day. There was also a shower cap and an amenities kit containing a sewing kit, cotton wool pads, emery board, etc. There were plenty of towels and on our second day housekeeping had already serviced our room when we returned from a leisurely breakfast. We awoke both mornings to find we'd slept past 9. I'm sure it was as a result of the miles we walked, but no light filtered through the curtains and there was very little noise from the corridor or from outside the building to disturb us. We didn't use the nespresso machine in the room as we prefer milky coffees but I found the mini bar prices for soft drinks and crisps to be very reasonable for a hotel.

Breakfast was served both mornings from 07:00-11:00 and on the first day we had problems attracting a waiter's attention as we were seated in the lounge area, an overspill for the breakfast room. We ordered eggs and bacon both days, which arrived hot and freshly prepared, although cooked in olive oil which I'm not used to. The toaster was a bit of a challenge - I put one slice of bread through six times. There were small croissants, pastries, cereals, yogurst, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses - a lovely selection. We took a couple of bananas with us each day for snacks.

I have to compliment the hotel on their staff - we found everyone to be personable, friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Just about everyone spoke good English. The gentleman in reception helped with local restaurant recommendations, but quite a few were closed because it's off-season (the best meal we had was actually at the Hard Rock Cafe!) Ask for the tourist map they have at reception. It has a highlighted, looping walk of the city taking you across the Rialto bridge and down to San Marco's before bringing you back across the bridge at Accademia.

There are some really nice touches everywhere that set this hotel apart, such as small packs of tissues and plates of chocolate and dates in the lounge to help yourself to. On our last day we returned to the hotel to collect our luggage and spend an hour before heading to the airport. We ordered coffees and there was no charge when we tried to pay even though we had checked out in the morning. I've been raving to all my friends about this hotel because I know they won't be disappointed. I hope to be back some day when the sun is shining - a beautiful city and a lovely hotel.

Room Tip: We were in room 201 overlooking the courtyard - no complaints.

I agree with others, this hotel goes above & beyond to make your stay most enjoyable. Warm and welcoming staff from arrival to departure, beautiful quiet modern room. Location was perfect, water taxi available, close to train & cruise harbor, open markets and many great restaurants (both large & small). Breakfast was lovely. Dining inside and/or outside in a lovely garden area. We love the small personal hotels and Hotel Moresco was perfect in all areas! Will be our Hotel of choice in Venice.
