“Great pasta and friendly staff”
Reviewed 21 August 2014 via mobile

Best place to go in Venice, for a quick and tasty lunch. Both owner and staff are extremely nice and speak several languages. I was even holding up the line because we had a whole conversation in Spanish. Highly recommend this place!

“Pasta is Fantastic, great bargain for Venice”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Pretty much what everybody has written is true, great pasta and great value. We were 6 people and everybody loved there pasta dish. I personally tasted 4-5 different dishes from our group and they were all good. This place is extremely busy. If desired, these guys could get away with behaving like the Soup nazi (for Seinfeld fans). Instead the main guy (Gabriel?) is absolutely the nicest guy you can imagine. It is like he personally wants to make sure everybody enjoys their meal. One thing to note is that they close at 8:30PM as we learned the hard way when we tried to go a second night. You could see how exhausted they were after what was probably a nonstop busy day.

“Only highly rated because it's so cheap”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

It is definitely not the best pasta in Italy as people would mention. For the budget conscious, yes, it is good because for the cheap eats there's a lot of food for the price. It doesn't deserve to be Tripadvisor's #1, not by a long shot. It's certainly not worth the 30 minute wait before I got to order. I've had plenty of better alfredo pastas in Italy, and I would say the Olive Garden in the United States serves better alfredo than this place. It is unique though. You order and wait outside near the counter a couple of minutes for them to give you the pasta. It's inside a Chinese take out box with a fork that is solid enough to handle the weight of the pasta. They tell you to eat it right away, and this is true. It will go bad quickly because the pasta is stacked inside that box so much that the heat gets trapped in the bottom of the pasta. If you don't get to the bottom quickly it'll be overcooked.
For under 8 Euros, you do get a lot of food. If you don't want to sit down at a restaurant and are looking for a group of friends to hang out in the small streets of Venice, this is a place for you. If you're more into the slow paced meals with a place to sit down, have a romantic meal or enjoy watching people pass by while you're eating, there are many other restaurants close to this location that serve better food.

“Pasta Gods on Earth”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

It was pretty hard to find it,but when you see the line of people you know that something good is distributed from the window of the shop/restaurant.The pasta is to die for, best pasta in my whole life.Me and my girlfriend got so hungry looking for it so decide to take 4 portions, but the man on the ordering bar convinced us that 2 is pretty enough for hungry people,so we took 3 pasta to go,just to be sure. The portions were big enough, and we ate it in the nearby alley with a bunch of people standing around, awesome experience with a heaven on our taste buds. Extremely recommended.

“Love Alfredino's”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

My husband and I loved Alfredino's. There is no where to sit down. It really is this quaint little shop where you go in and order the kind of pasta you like and the sauce. You then wait outside for the to call your number. You get your pasta and then just find somewhere nice to sit outside. It is your own personal picnic. I had the arabiata and my husband had the pomodoro. Both were excellent. You need to eat the pasta quickly or it goes soggy so we started eating it as soon as it hit our hands. It is not exactly easy to find so we kept asking people and found it in the end. There was a queue when we arrived but it moved fairly quickly and we got our food in 15 minutes.
