“Very fun and lively place to eat”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Gam Gam was recommended to us and we thought it was great. We're not Jewish and weren't seeking a kosher meal, but the variety was good and the tastes were great. We sat along the canal and enjoyed watching water taxis and other boats moving along past our table. We used the restrooms and there was further seating inside.

“Great cheap place to eat”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Kosher menu. The mixed starters will provide enough to eat for a normal human. Delicious and cheap. Closed during the Shabat period; IE Fridays and Sat until 1 hr after Sunset. Wine is kosher and may run out if delivery fails. Lots of good beer as alternative

“Kosher food Available”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

Gam gam is a kosher restaurant near the jewish ghetto. On Shabbos you can eat outside along the water but it's camp style with everyone at one long table. ALso, because it's along the water it's dangerous for active toddlers. We chose to eat at the Jewish museum, offered by gam gam too. It's more private, your family eats at their own table and it's more fancy. Food was pretty good.
gam gams pizza is great, thin and yummy, but of course very expensive just like their Shabbos food.

“Meat, Dairy & Shabbos were excellent!”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

We had a great dinner at Gam-Gam. Fantastic service and well priced. We had the pasta with salmon and the pasta with meat sauce. Both were delicious.

For lunch we went to Gam-Gam Goodies for pizza. We thought the pizza was pretty expensive (€4/slice) but it was tasty and there aren't really other options for places to go.

We had both Shabbos dinner and lunch with Gam-Gam. Dinner was incredible...tons and tons of food that was super tasty. Lunch was chullent and kugel that was pretty good.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed 15 July 2013 via mobile

We had walked forever, it seemed, to find the ghetto, and realized we had finally found it when we saw this restaurant. The mezze plate was fantastic...great falafel, velvety smooth eggplant, sweet and lemony tomatoes, and great hummus, among other wonderful little plates. We got the house dolce specialty which was several different kinds of cookies...macaroon and sesame butter, I think. Homemade and wonderful. Sat by the canal which was so relaxing! Thanks for a taste of Jewish culture in Venice!
