“Good value restaurant”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

My husband and I were supposed to be dining with friends who live locally however dinner was cancelled at late notice. We therefore looked around the square for a reasonable restaurant and saw that this one seemed popular. When we sat down we saw the negative reviews on trip adviser. However we had a good experience. It seems the bad reviews were based on the expectation that this is a fine restaurant which it isn't. We ordered caprese and pizza with house white wine and all was fine and at a reasonable cost.

“Owned by cousins-great time”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We fell upon this restaurant while walking around Dorsoduro near our B&B. The food and beverages were exceptional and the variety was endless. We enjoyed outside seating and enjoyed the pleasure of dining with others. The dinner and beverages lasted quite a while during which we got to know several of the cousins who served us and they were not adverse to joining in on the fun. It was a great time and we suggest that it is well worth a visit if you are in the area..

“Friendly stop on the Campo S Margherta”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

Walking by this restaurant the maître d was friendly, joking and made his pitch. Decided to try.
The meal was good, well presented, the wait staff excellent, friendly, helpful. House wine was a chianti, litre 14euros, fish dish very good, had the vienza style liver good. My partners chicken dish was average.. Over cooked. The restaurant was busy, everyone seemed happy with their choices. Not over the top and pleasent.

“Great late night Pizza”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

I am not sure why this restaurant is referred to here as Bangledeshi and am quite surprised at the bad reviews. We had a good experience, arriving very late we were just so happy they were open. I had the house red wine and my husband a beer and we ordered pizzas. They came piping hot and gigantic with thin crusty bases, delicious and the bill was reasonable. The owner/waiter was Italian and chatted happily to us about Venice and the restaurant business. The square Santa Margherita is a delight and even nearing midnight was full of life.
