We stayed here during our family holiday to Italy in March. We spent 3 nights in Venice and couldn't have asked for a better spot. The location is wonderful, very central and right on the Grand Canal. It was a treat to have our breakfast over looking the busy canal.

Our room was perfect. We had a whole suite to ourselves; 3 comfortable bedrooms, a sitting area and bathroom. The staff was always extremely helpful with suggestions for meals and directions as needed. They even sent us off to the train with a couple of boxes of biscotti. A welcome treat for traveling with 3 kids.

I stayed here with my husband for 2 nights in the Suite which overlooks the Grand Canal, which is just stunning. From the moment we arrived our host made us feel very welcome and was happy to chat with us about the history of Venice, and recommend local places to eat (there is a lovely pastry shop around the block which you MUST visit!).
One little quirk is that the room keys are attached to enormous tassles in the Venetian style which added to the old world feel - sweet!
Our room was stunning, very well furnished with some antique furniture and paintings, but also with very modern conveniences. Even the toiletries in our room were lovely.

Breakfast was delicious (the marmalade especially) and I felt like a rich Venetian dining in my breakfast room!
The location is fantastic as it's in a quiet area but very close to main streets. We would love to stay here again if we ever return to Venice.

We chose the place based on reviews, and were not disappointed, it is up to the expectations : room spotlessly clean, cosy furniture and decoration. We slept in the superior room, overlooking the side canal.
the breakfast room was beautiful, with a superb view on the grand canal, and the breakfast was up to the view, with plenty of sweet and savoury choice, various types of breads, fresh and dried fruits, and a special congratulation for the orange juice.
the staff is present around the clock, friendly and helpful.
Things that could be better ? very few to be fair, only some noise going from 1 bedroom to the other (could have been better insulated during renovations), and the charge taken for internet, where in so many places this use is for free. nothing to make ourselves bitter however, this place deserves a strong recommendation.

My husband & I spent 2 wonderful nights in Venice staying at this hotel. The room we had was over looking the Grand Canal! It was so nice to hear the water & just look outside our window & admire the beauty Venice has to offer. We arrived quite late the first night & the owner was so excited to meet us & we were given a fabulous welcoming. He was very excited to show us to our room as we did have the honeymoon suite;) He was very helpful giving us tips on where to eat & what to see. Made sure we knew how to get around. It was such a warm welcome. The room was very big & the bathroom was so modern with a jetted tub! Breakfast was served daily with fresh fruit, breads, meats, cheese...cereal....coffee, egss...the list could go on & on. The service was wonderful for sure; however, you were able to keep to yourself which was nice as my husband & I wanted some alone time. A must stay in Venice for sure!

Beautifully located at the Canal Grande this small but intimate hotel creates a comfortable atmosphere of in a class setting. Contrary to many other Venitian hotels the breakfast is rich and delightful. The service is impeccable: without our asking the owner upgraded our double room room to a double room with a terrace for the same price and after arriving home and missing one of our notebooks it arrived by mail - we hadn't even contacted the hotel yet!

Ca´Angeli is an excellent, well-cared for, small pension on the third floor (with lift) of a Grand Canal casa that is relatively easy to find (this is Venice!).
We had one of the smaller rooms; decorated in a restrained Venetian style, ample wardrobe space and a decent sized bathroom with shower, that was perfectly fine for a five night stay. The breakfast was extremely good- a buffet with selections of fresh fruit, cereals, toast, jam, meat & cheese, pastries and various beverages served in a sunny room with views along the Grand Canal. There is also a small sitting room. It may be helpful for winter visitors to know that all the rooms were delightfully warm.
Signor Wulten was most welcoming, helpful & knowledgeable about all things venetian.
San Polo´s main thoroughfare is busy with plenty of shopping opportunities but nowhere near as crowded as the area around San Marco Piazza.
I would recommend Ca´Angeli as an ideal base for exploring all Venice on foot as it is approximately in the geographical centre of the city...about a 10 minute stroll to the Rialto Bridge...if you´re not too distracted by the shops!

Absolutely superb location and fantastic rooms. Everything in Venice is within very easy walking access. Big rooms by U.S. standards and massive by Italian standards. Everyone is very friendly, very helpful and the place is very clean. We spent thanksgiving there and while Venice was flooded, there were very few people and no wait to get in anywhere. Great vacation and great B&B!
