This really is a very charming and very chic small hotel. On arrival a chilled glass of prosecco - just perfect, lovely location overlooking a pretty canal with the Grand canal also in view, tucked nicely away from the action but a sensible walk away from St Mark's square and only a couple of minutes via the water bus if you prefer.
Breakfast is a delight - brought to room every morning at specified time with anything from muesli to omlettes, bacon, cheeses ham - juices / coffees etc.
Ideal for those looking for an intimate set up with emphasis on stylish surroundings
would highly recommend.

The decoration and design is excellent, as are the staff. The roof terrace, lounge and breakfast room have real distinction. The public areas are small. There is a simple lunch menu that they don't publicise and which you can eat in the breakfast room or roof terrace. The location is excellent and on the edge of one of the best areas of Venice and is well removed from the tourist hordes. The room was less distinct than the public areas but that is not to complaint. In many other hotels it would be excellent.
It is expensive for it's size and services though, but I'm still very glad I stayed there. Don't pre book their river taxi from the airport: it is too expensive and a far more complex arrangement than simply getting a private water taxi at the airport on arrival. This is an excellent hotel.

We returned last night from a few days in Venice and it was amazing, especially thanks to our stay at the Ca'Maria Adele. The hotel is gorgeous, staff very friendly and our room 321 was amazing, so luxurious and quirky! Great turndown gifts and lovely notes every day. Breakfast was excellent in a lovely breakfast room and super service by lovely young lady. I loved the location so close to the boat stops and also because its slightly hidden in a nice quiet area and away from the very busy tourist bits, really an excellent location! Thank you very much.

After considerable research on Venice hotels, we opted for this intimate boutique hotel which is competitively priced alongside its more well known neighbours. The staff spoke perfect English, nothing was too much trouble for them and the Manager left handwritten notes for us to ensure that we were being well cared for!

The hotel contacted us prior to our holiday to ask if they could arrange a private water boat transfer and if we had any special requests, to just let them know.

We stayed in room 112 which is the Moorish Room and one of their famous themed rooms. I think that this is one of two rooms that has a balcony (the other is the Doge Room) that you can walk out onto which is highly recommended in Venice. The view overlooked the magnificent church across the small canal and had views onto the Grand Canal and the main waterways. It was wonderful and it was a real treat drinking our Prosecco from the balcony.

Apart from staff, who were never intrusive, we never saw or heard another guest in the hotel despite our room being beside the Breakfast room. This hotel is a little hidden gem and is worth the extra 5 minute walk to the touristy areas. I would highly recommend it to all future visitors!

Just a word of warning - eating out in Venice is EXTREMELY expensive and it is not unusual to spend triple figures on a meal that was not particularly special. Always ask the waiter how much the specials are before you order - we were stung with ONE Seabass that cost 75 Euros!!! Not amused....think we are still in shock on that one!

The most expensive city break ever....

We found this hotel in Mr and Mrs Smith.

It ived up to all expectations, with a quiet location, friendly, helpful staff, and a fantastic roon (the Doge's room).

Breakfast a real treat.

We'll come back again.

This was our 2nd visit to Venice and this hotel was highly recommended by a number of places and we were not disappointed.

Our themed room was spacious and luxuriously furnished with a window overlooking the Grand Canal. All areas were spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. The breakfast room was small but luxurious with a good choice of food. There is no bar in the hotel but there is a small lounge area where you can sit and relax and enjoy a drink if you did not want to go back to your room.

The staff were friendly and helpful advising us of places to visit and eat, they will arrange Gondola rides for you and water taxis back to the airport. Whilst waiting for the water taxi they were kind enough to provide us with a complimentary drink.

The hotel is expensive but not much in Venice isn’t. Being across the canal from St Mark Square was an advantage however as the places to eat this side of the canal were not as expensive as the other side.

I have been meaning to review this hotel ever since returning from a magical stay there in the summer of 2007. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the two suites on the upper floor. Ca' Maria Adele is everything one would wish for in a Venetian vacation -- exquisitely romantic and aesthetically exotic, with extremely courteous and professional service and reasonable rates. On a practical level, the location is convenient and the rooms comfortable -- but what lingers is the ineffable beauty of the atmosphere painstakingly created by the owners of the hotel. I still remember vividly leaving the hotel on a glorious summer morning in a gondola from its private dock -- with the sun shimmering in the sky and reflecting on the aquamarine waters of the Venetian lagoon -- with one of the (handsome!) managers of the hotel personally seeing me and my boyfriend off. Almost two years later and back in more sobering reality, we still dream of Ca' Maria Adele.
