Our only break in 3 years, so we really needed this to be special -- and it was. This is a lovely hotel, away from the constant buzz, but easy to walk to and from. A vaporetto stop is 75 m away, but the whole city is very walkable. We liked the Dorsoduro area, and returned there at night to stroll along the canals to find a quiet restaurant, many only 10 mins from the hotel.

My husband went to Lido on business and decided to stay in Venice the last 2 nights. A colleague of his chose the hotel and although I was a little worried about the selection, as soon as I arrived( even after traveling for 21 hours) I loved the hotel, location and room. Dorsoduro is a very convenient quiet area, with great restaurants and very accessible to the noisy, touristy area near Piazza San Marcos and Rialto ( probably a 15-20 min walk). The hotel is next to a Vaporetto stop and has it's own water taxi dock. The room was very spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated( not the usual stuffy venetian style). The soda, water and juice in the minibar was included in the room rate, which although slightly expensive, was reasonable. The breakfast selection was extensive and great quality. The staff was very attentive and their restaurant recommendations were excellent. Although lacking a fitness facility, it is next to a "sidewalk " next to the Grand Canal where you can jog or walk. Overall I was impressed and would highly recommend it.

We got married in Venice and needed a hotel to make a memorable impact, as well as being efficient enough to deal with all of the bride's requests!! Ca Maria Adele did not disappoint. Whilst the hotel is expensive, we did secure a decent discount for booking early, and it certainly proves you get what you pay for! The location is stunning, especially in spring with the wisteria trailing outside. There's a vaparetto stop nearby, and St Mark's Square is just two minutes across the canal. The area is much quieter and far more quaint than the rest of Venice. We also found much nicer restaurants in this area, having been a little disappointed by those in the tourist areas on a previous visit. The view of Santa Maria Della Salute is stunning, and the backdrop made for some amazing wedding photos! The hotel left champagne, and strawberries wrapped in rose petals in our room on the first night, and continued to make small gestures each night which made us feel so welcome. The manager offered us his business card and said to call any time we needed anything. The hotel managed the ironing of the wedding dress and shirt, which had travelled some way due to volcanic ash disruptions! The dress was ready the next day and they stored it so the groom wouldn't see it. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious with plenty of choice. There are lots of little touches which show this hotel thinks outside the box - they would give you a choice of places to eat breakfast, and if you wanted it in your room, they would ask if you would like them to knock first and wait for you to open the door, or whether they should just knock and enter. The hotel offered us a complimentary room for the groom to get ready in on the morning of the wedding. They thoroughly cleaned the room first as if a new guest was arriving to stay in it. Minibar soft drinks were complimentary and there is an honesty bar for other drinks. The staff were very helpful and friendly and did a great job arranging restaurants, taxis etc. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large and characterful with an enormous shower. I really can't recommend it enough. It was a perfect choice for a couple marrying in Venice!

I loved staying here during carnival season because the themed hotel rooms added to the creativity of the season. The service is good and in terms of location it could have been better. The hotel is a boat ride away from Piazza San Marco and the boat will pick you up almost in front of the hotel. Each one of my friends stayed in a different themed room and mine was the oriental room. I loved the decoration and found that my stay there was very pleasurable because of the staff and the room as well.

I was treated to this lovely place as part of my 40th birthday. Classical boutique hotel in a wonderfully quiet part of this divine city. The hotel will sort anything you need.
Room was stylish, shower was amazing... All ambience good. We liked the night porter, he was charming and helpful. (The older chap). Other staff were charming too, when we hired a self drive motor boat (which you can do here if you look), they happily supplied ice buckets and glasses for our bellini picnic.
I hesitate to mention the downside, but I must. It was hot in Venice 24C..(for us northern hemisphere people). and the hotel had not yet decided to switch on the air conditioning, nor would they when asked, we didn't like that bit.
If you choose this place you will be very happy indeed.

Surprised my husband during our 1 year anniversary celebrations by taking him there for a weekend break.

What we enjoyed about the hotel:
• It was a small boutique hotel that had a funky and creative style. The interior design of the hotel is fun and different to a number of the older hotels in Venice that felt a little old and outdated. I called the hotel to make the reservation and explain the importance of the event. They were helpful and recommended the “oriental” room which was absolutely lovely.
• Hotel and room is perfectly located next to the ‘Salute’ boat spot, easy to walk around the surroundings and 1 stop to San Marco.
• If you love seafood, I would recommend that you visit ‘lineadombra’ which is 2mins from hotel. Absolutely fantastic fresh but ridiculously expensive!

What we didn’t enjoy:
• It felt that they charged 5 star prices at 4 star service. Room had been small, but you tend to expect that as Venice is small. Found it incredibly noisy, people talking in the street were heard loud and clear in our room! Tip: take ear plugs.
• The breakfast is my favourite meal when staying in a lovely hotel, and was really disappointed by the quantity and presentation. Tip: over order as it feels like more on paper!
• No iron available but charge €10-15 per item (approx). Apparently it’s a health and safety issue, but then they charge extortionate amounts for the service!
• P.s. is incredibly expensive !!

Paying attention to every detail, this hotel was an experience of its own. The White Room on the bottom floor was spectacular, the room service was top notch, the views from all points of the hotel were nearly fantastical! Breakfast was delicious (though one staff member seemed absolutely miserable with her job) and the always stocked minibar was so refershing during the hot summer days!
