I had been warned to expect really tiny pokey hotel rooms in Venice but this hotel was a wonderful surprise. The suite of rooms we had were quite a luxury. However, Another set of rooms which our friends had reserved was fascinating. They had just asked for one bedroom with an extra bed. Instead they got a double bedroom and two single bedrooms, one of which is delightfully tucked away in an attic. There was also a kitchenette and a drawing cum dining room. In Venice this is total luxury of space !!

The hotel is tucked away in the alleys and a bit difficult to find, so do ask for directions from the hotel, before-hand which will lead you to the right place. It's not a far walk from the vaporetto station. And since the water taxi reaches up to their doorstep, this is a convenient option, though taxis are very expensive.

We stayed here only for one night and we enjoyed it. The wi fi is very good, rooms and clean and well maintained and the receptionist is helpful. The free water taxi ride offered to murrano is also welcome.

I would say, choose this hotel, if you are staying in Venice for two or three days as it will give you a chance to really enjoy the hotel. It is a bit out of the way compared to other hotels closer to Rialto etc, but is totally worth it, if you have enough time and leisure to enjoy the hotel.

Also each suite of rooms seem to be drastically different from the other, so it may make sense to make enquiries about the number of bedrooms, baths etc when you make your reservation

Room Tip: The layout of each suite of rooms seem to be drastically different from the other, so it may make se...

I was with David (dholer) and can back up his comments. I would also like to add that the staff were fantastic and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble but they were very discreet. The Palazzo has a wonderful charm and serenity about it - very peaceful, residential area of Venice yet only a 10 min walk from St Marks or the Rialto, which are always manic! Stunning church behind the palazzo. Each room is named after an area of Venice (ours was Torcello)and every room/apartment is different and charming (we checked out lots of them for our guests next year). We had lots of fun and cant wait to return next year for our wedding. We are having the ceremony here and all our guests are staying.

Just back from our trip, 3 nights in Torcello apartment (with roof terrace) as a dummy run for our wedding next year. It is a real gem, in a quiet location, 10 minutes to the nearest Grand Canal water bus stop (Arsenale). Arrived door to door from Airport in a water taxi, which is a must! The Palazzo is fantastic, very stylish, stunning courtyard and garden, a few local shops (bread, fruit and bars and an 'off-license (wine shop) nearby. Would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the romance of Venice away from the madding crowds!! Its a great and relatively inexpensive way to enjoy Venice!!

Room Tip: They are all individual, classically furnished and full of character!!

We had booked this hotel prior to going on our cruise, and wanted a couple of days in Venice to start with. The water taxi took us there and entered the hotel via a few steps from the canal. Our room was only a matter of yards away from that entrance, right next to reception, and you could hear the water taxis going back and forth, with the slushing of water against the building. This was by no means offputting, but the exact opposite, as it was the only noise we heard in the whole of the hotel. The breakfast was quite varied, and well laid out. Staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The courtyard was full off character, and had some seating there to sit if you wanted. Outwith the hotel, you came across a lot of little shops and restaurants, that you never knew existed until you ventured out. St Mark's square was within walking distance, although you have to encounter a number of bridges before getting there.

Like others have said, this hotel has some of the best service and attention to detail I've seen anywhere. Very spacious, beautifully decorated rooms with a convenient common area including a quiet deck for sipping wine and a gorgeous courtyard right out of a post card. The staff will go out of their way to arrange water taxis (they have their own dock right into the hotel). I highly recommend the water taxi option, especially if you are coming in from or out to the train station or airport. Spring for the extra Euros, it's worth it. They also made dinner reservations for us and recommended others, all were EXCELLENT experiences for us. They were very responsive to my numerous emails prior to the trip. Don't miss the "locals only" places right outside the hotel or just a few blocks away. Small and inexpensive cafe's, markets and other shops. With all this privacy and "away from the crowd" feel, it's still just a few minutes walk to St. Mark's or Rialto.

Room Tip: The fifth floor has an amazing view of the St. Mark's skyline. The second floor is also a good o...

This hotel is amazing and I could not recommend it more. Its a fairy-tale place where you feel welcome.

The location is an easy and calm walk to San Marco. I had no problem finding my way. Also reaching it with the vaporetto was easy from the station.

The staff were amazing, helpful and made us feel very welcome from the beginning till the end and also assisted with planning our departure to the airport.

We had the little apartment on the ground floor and it was excellent. The room was huge, the bed was incredibly big and comfortable. The whole place smelled amazing and was really clean. Very quality furnishings as well. The jakuzzi bath finally convinced me I am in love with this place.

The palazzo itself is spectacular and the pictures don't capture fully its beauty, which lies in the small details everywhere. The garden, fountain, staircases, glass ornaments, the grand hall are all stunning.

Overall, this is an enchanting place that is almost a landmark on its own. Next time I am in Venice I would surely stay again. I would recommend to anyone but couples would appreciate the romance it offers even more. Looking at the stars from the little garden by the fountain is magical!

Room Tip: all the ones we saw looked amazing.

We stayed here 2 nights and were thoroughly impressed. Davide (concierge) was extremely patient and helpful, and even printed us train tickets to help us on our way once we checked out. Room was really spacious with separate living area and kitchen (we only ordered a double room). We had a splendid view of the canal below. It was lovely to have use of the old courtyard and relax with the scent of jasmine in the air. Only thing to think of if you book is that it is a little bit out of the way (nearest ferry stop Celestia closes at 20:30) but we liked the seclusion and there are other nearby stops you can use if you do not make it back in time. The hotel was away from the purely tourist areas (we liked this) and only ten minutes walk max to St Mark's and Doges Palace. Getting to these places from the hotel is quite an adventure and you will enjoy leaping over little bridges and weaving in between little lane ways to get there. It's not far from a beautiful old church and courtyard. Plus there is a really inexpensive little corner store outside the hotel's door which is handy to stock up on water bottles etc before you head out exploring. We also did have some issues with the wifi connection but staff were really helpful in getting it sorted so we could use wifi at least in the lobby (we are thinking that it might not be as easy in any event to get the same wifi service anywhere in Venice as you do on the mainland). Highly recommend this hotel you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask for a canal view if you want this. It is still really quiet and there isn't too much traffic...
