According to the Italian representative on our cruise ship, this is one of the best restaurants in Venice. Many locals dine here. We went with another couple and sat outside. My husband and I shared a mixed salad and the cherry tomatoes tasted like candy, they were so sweet. We both ordered the John Dory fish which was delicious and presented in a creative way. The wine that the waiter suggested was from the area; it had no tannins, was very light and it was incredible! The prices are very high as the John Dory was 30 euros (about $40)—pretty outrageous. But we wanted to try it anyway. The interior of the restaurant has a great old wood and brick décor and two separate rooms., one being like a library with books on a shelf and the other a small bar area with seating for dining also. The restaurant was fully booked. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. As the food and the ambiance were both very good, we would recommend this, but certainly with a word about the price.
