We can't say enough about our stay at this hotel. It really made our trip to Venice last week a fantastic memory. The reception managers and staff were welcoming, professional and exceptionally helpful. They were always available to make recommendations and arrangements for us (tours, theater, etc.) and answer questions. The room (actually a suite—there were four of us) was impeccably clean, very large and beautiful. The location was fantastic and within easy walking distance to surrounding areas. The complimentary breakfast had a variety of choices. This hotel is a gem.

When you want to spend the day in the city and the hotel is just the place to sleep, you don't need that much. But if it doesn't go right, your visit can be a nightmare; even if you're just going there at night.
Clean and big room, nice breakfast, really nice staff. Perfectly located and since it's hard to find because you don't see the name on the building, just a small PV (initials), it's not hidden at all.

once we found this excellent hotel in the dark, we were over the moon with a friendly welcome at reception and then taken to room 27 at the back of the hotel, a lovely large room with high ceilings and the biggest bed i have ever seen. breakfast has loads to choose from breads, cakes, fruit, cereals, meat, cheese and hot and cold drinks. the hotel decor is something to be seen you feel like you are staying in a small palace. the hotels location was perfect for all the attractions in venice. had a great time eating and drinking the lovely wine in venice and will return to this hotel. must take walking shoes.

Room Tip: we had room 27 very quiet as not over the square

Beautiful hotel, very Venice style! The location is perfect and the room was comfortable, clean and pleasant. We loved the experience.
What we liked the least was the breakfast: it could have more variety and the breakfast room is some how very different in aspect from the rest of the hotel (which is a pity).

I had previously booked a superior double room on-line on the hotel website and had some communication with staff from the hotel before our arrival. This was the end of our visit in Italy. Leaving our car rental at the Piazzale Roma, we had chosen to travel by taxi boat(70Euros) to Santa Maria Formosa. The dock is only a short walk to the hotel and very well located.

Hotel Palazzo Vitturi is in the Santa Maria Formosa square and in front of the San Zaccharia Church. Centrally located, 10 minutes walk to either Rialto Bridge or St.Marks. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Francesco. Being to early for check-in, we left our luggage at the front desk and went to explore Venice.

When we got back, we were told that our welcome drink would be served on the little terrace outside in 15 minutes. We arrived to our beautiful room, unpacked and noticed that our umbrella had been broken on its way to our room. It wasn't an issue, since we were going to leave it at the hotel for other guests, but we were never informed by staff (no note, no nothing) that it had been broken.

We waited and waited and waited for our welcome drink, but it never came. We had already booked a tour and decided to leave. The front desk was apologetic and had forgotten. Would redeem by sending us a bottle of Proseco the next day for my hubby's BD.

We were in room 16; beautifully decorated and huge! It looked like it was a room for people with limited mobility. My feet didn't touch the floor while I was on the toilet. My husband thought I was joking until he saw me. So funny, I felt like a little girl again!!! Everything you might need is in the room including a safe. Very nice!

We received great tips about the area, a map and go to restaurants. We also took the free tour of Murano, free transportation in a taxi boat to go and on your own to come back.

On our last day it was recommended to take the Alilaguna transportation to the airport from the Rialto. However, we decided while exploring the area, to count how many bridges we would cross while hauling 45 kg each (gone too long to travel light). Rialto was a no go! We got our map out and found a great way to get to the Alilaguna stop at San Zaccaria (blue line) with only two bridges to cross. Alilaguna tickets 15 Euros each to get to the airport.

We did have a great stay at the Palazzo Vitturi! The breakfasts were good, the room (nice and quiet), but it was a bit of a miss with the front desk. Very well intentioned but missing key elements with the customer service.

We were originally booked into another hotel with flooding problems. The staff at this hotel jumped in to help and were as customer service oriented as anywhere I've ever stayed. Big kudos to Michele at the front desk for being so "can do". We were upgraded to a junior suite with a great view of the square and the clock tower. Our three nights were completely enjoyable and I highly recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side are less noisy.
