I really liked this hotel - fortunately my partner carried my suitcase up the stairs for me... Great location, tucked away down a little alley. It wasn't a difficult walk from the train station, although the bidges over the canals are made of steps, which makes things a bit difficult if you have heavy suitcases. The room was spacious and had a cute, high wooden ceiling. When we booked the room it stated "Shared Bathroom", so when we got in the room we were delighted to have a private bathroom! I really liked the character of this hotel, it just felt "nice", for want of a better word. Everything was clean and comfortable and I felt the room was very well priced, considering how expensive a lot of other things in Venice were.
There are plenty of attractions nearby, as well as shops, cafes, bars, restaurants etc. Really enjoyed Venice, and have no qualms reccommending this hotel - as long as you accept that the staircase is narrow and steep, and you have to carry your own bags.More
