This smokefree B&B is situated 5 min. from the Rialto Bridge. We arrived very late, picked up our key at a nearby hotel and followed the directions that we received through an email. Our room had to single beds and a great bathroom. The room was comfortable, air-conditioned, towels were changed and the room was cleaned every day. The reception staff was always friendly and gave us great tips. Francisco -you are the friendliest and the most positive person I’ve met in Venice and my friend and I felt both relaxed and happy to stay with you. Do not hesitate to stay here as this will be your perfect HQ to your Venice stay!

If this is your first time in Venice, here are a few tips for you: pack the smallest suitcase you can find, Venice is narrow and crowded so make sure that you make it as easy for yourself as possible. Walk down the small lanes away from the crowd to get better food and better prizes, if you are exploring the main island, you can experience the city to the fullest by walking to your destinations. Warm regards from Nisanthi

Ca' Leon D'Oro is a nice accommodation with very friendly staff located close to everything. We only stayed here one night and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel a 2 minute walk to the Rialto bridge but off the main strip tucked into a side street and a short walk to San Marco. Very nice but not the quietest room for you light sleepers. Has everything you need including wifi and breakfast. If I make it back to Venice, I would not think twice about staying here

Great place to romanticize with your beloved one for a low cost. This place had an awesome crew that led us through the things we could do in Venice as well as having us enjoy our time on the room they assigned to us, the room number 5, best room of the place, if you can, please get it! the view from it its amazing!

Location was great!! Very close to Rialto bridge and vaporetto station. It was about 2 minutes to get to hotel from Rialto stop. You can walk to San Marco within 10 minutes. Small and clean room and it has just what you need. bathroom is not big but maintained well. Breakfast was typical italian style- croissants with jam, nutella, ham and cheese, cereal, yogurts, coffee/tea etc. Service was excellent!!!! Frank and Julia were really helpful. We stayed on 5th floor and there was rooftop terrace. There is No elevator but other than that, it was excellent choice!! Highly recommended and good value! I would definitely come back

We stayed at Ca' Leon D'Oro in April, 2013 and enjoyed it. It's a good value, given the high price of most hotels in Venice. Location is excellent, but be prepared for the narrow and steep stairs you will need to climb with your bags. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for 3 of us. Breakfast choices were limited to cereal, pastries and yogurt. No fruit was offered at breakfast. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only word of caution about this hotel is their policy of charging your credit card before you check in. Our flight was 5 hours late arriving, but we made it to the hotel around 7:30pm and checked in before the staft left for the day at 8pm. They informed us the next morning that they had charged the credit card I used to book the room because they didn't know if we were going to show up. When I informed them that I had wanted to use a different credit card to pay for the room so I could avoid a 3% foreign transaction fee, they told me it was too late. Their policy was disappointing because the booking arrangements thru Venere clearly stated that the credit card used to hold the reservation would not be charged and that payment would be made directly at the hotel. It was disappointing that the hotel's policy was not proactively communicated to guests. If we stay at this hotel in the future, I will tell them our estimated arrival time is later than I truly expect it to be in the hopes of avoiding the same situation.
