Good location, easy to get to the vicinity but not so easy to find initially!
We loved that it was a little further away from the crowds of piazza San Marco and I'm sure as the crowds increase for summer the distance is even better!! Even though a little way from the crowds it was an easy walk to all attractions and just over the academia bridge for the vaporetto for travelling further afield.
Room was ok, actually quite spacious especially by Europe standards and ours had a loft with extra beds. Room had a nice view over the internal courtyard. Room was a little cold in the evenings (we had cold rainy weather) but there may have been extra blankets I didn't actually check that out.
Breakfast was ok, nothing exciting but no negatives and staff were attentive.
Reception staff seemed polite and helpful but we actually didn't need too much help in venice the fun is just exploring. They responded to our emails quickly before we arrived and sent a query.
All in all we'd recommend the hotel and especially for its location.

this hotel locate at very great location. close to Academia, and the church where Interpretiveneziani played (very great!) use vaporetti line 1 or 2 stop at Academia station and walk across the big bridge (nightmare for luggages because this bridge is about 60 Steps up and down) then across the second little bridge on left hand side and then walk straight. You'll find the hotel need to intercom with Foresteria levi to go inside. Helpful friendly staff there. We booked room for 2 ppl butThey gave us a room for 4 ppl (2floor) then i go down and ask the staff. He said sometimes they sell 4 ppl room for 2 ppl, and of course the price is for 2 ppl as i booked throught booking.com. So the room was wonderful and big for happily 2ppl, clean and nice decorate. And the breakfast was rich and great. You can leave luggage in the room near the staff. And at night the hotel was quiet and peaceful. around hotel is safe. I walked around there at midnight and still many ppl walk because it near to Academia bridge. We ask the staff for recommended restaurant that still open at 21.00 and they recommend for the one name "Osteria", we had a nice dinner fresh seafood there and get two special drink for free (becos we were recommended from the hotel). Free good wifi. Most of all, I Highly recommend this place for everybody. Not so happy for those who hav luggages but here's Venice! luggages is not so welcome since ppl travel by boat and no car.

Right next to the Academia bridge, this little gem surprised us. A little alley leads to another alley way and opens up to a cute little courtyard. The location puts you at the heart of Venice. Piazzas , churches and real neighborhoods abound. We walked back to the Rialto bridge and hit cafes and shops in-between. It is also a big plus to be able to walk to St. Marks' and the Doge's Palace. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the and manger's restaurant recommendations were spot on.

Room Tip: Had an elevator and breakfast included.

I'm a 21 year old college student who was studying abroad in London during the time of my stay in Spring 2013. I was a little worried about finding the place, considering I don't know a lick of Italian! The person at the desk was outstandingly helpful-- drawing up maps for my friend and I and giving us great advice. We had a big, beautiful room. It wasn't of the water, as the main image might make you think, but it was of a stunning courtyard.

While our room was clean, nicely scented and plenty big enough, we didn't spend much time in it! Since Venice is relatively small, we had 0 issues walking around the city. There are great restaurants nearby and if you walk for about 10-15 mins you will stumble upon large squares and Plaza San Marco.

I absolutely adored this place and felt very confident that I was not getting taken advantage of (monetarily) because of my age or gender. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was simple but tasty. They also made us espressos in the morning :) I recommend this place to all my friends studying abroad now!

Room Tip: Pay attention to booking.com for cancellations. I was able to swoop in and snag a spacious 2-level room for an extremely cheap price only 2 weeks before our flight!

We stayed 4 nights in November 2013 and had a wonderful stay in a charming historic palazzo on the Grand Canal. Its a great location near the Academia Bridge, which is hard to lug luggage across, within easy walking distance to many attractions. Our modern room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful colored glass chandelier. The staff was polite and helpful, but not overly outgoing. The price was very reasonable with a good breakfast included. We enjoyed and recommend Foresteria Levi!
