Owner description: Located near the landmark and arched Rialto Bridge (which you’ll see pictured in countless photos of Venice), this busy daily market stands in the commercial center of the city alongside the city’s famed Grand Canal. “A must see but not really as interesting as other areas in Venice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

To be honest, I used this bridge more as a bridge than a shopping area. It's neat. It's interesting. Everyone should go spend a couple hours looking around and taking the obligatory holiday photos. Yes, it's touristy and crowded in the day. Yes, there are much more interesting places to explore in Venice. But. This is a Venitian institution and pretty much a top site when visiting Venice. A must for those newer to the Venice experience and actually still interesting for the experienced.

“Very Crowded but Worth a Look”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

If you are in Venice during peak season, expect hoards of tourists at the Rialto Market. Although I preferred the less crowded alleys ways that lead us to the Market, there certainly were some unique items to be found here.
Be warned...like most crowded areas in Europe, beware of pickpockets.

“Interesting shopping experience. Not just t-shirts and masks!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

I was surprised to see a vendor selling replica weapons at the Rialto Market. My son enjoyed it--the man had everything from samurai swords to replica handguns--current and historic. Of course t-shirts were in abundance, as were Venetian masks. Fruit vendors and pizza by the slice. A fun shopping experience!

“Fun morning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014

We liked all the open air booths, artists and food stores. Great way to spend the morning. The freshest food in Venice.
