Venice is a tiring but beautiful city filled with bridges and stairs. Location is good but after trekking about you NEED a good nights rest. Im not necessarily a whinger but no tea and coffee making facilities. Bed is so hard - might as well sleep on a tiled floor. Pillows and covers are clean but not enough. Window opened onto a building site so no sleeping in. Breakfast caters for carb eaters. Wifi is difficult to get and towels are cardboard. Staff is lovely but dont makeup for discomfort!

Really pleased we chose this hotel which was about a 30 minute walk from the main Square of San Marco. Comfy room, friendly staff. Adequate buffet style breakfast. We went on two of their recommended trips and the one on the Grand Canal in a water taxi was spectacular. They recommended us a couple of local restaurants and both were atmospheric and gave us delicious local sourced food. The valporetto stop was a reasonable walk away making it easy to get to the main areas of Venice and also Murano and the other islands.

Arrived by speedy water taxi 15 mins from the airport good greetings from the reception staff who went out of their way to organise our room as we had arrived at midday 2hrs early.
1st class room very clean and tidy a good start to our 3 days walk around venice.
Breakfast very good plenty of things on offer, but the serving area a little cramped and care was needed not to bump into other guests. The gentleman in the bar was a real gem working on his own giving great service with a smile. The hotel was located in a nice area and about 30mins from the centre of Venice would recommend this Hotel very good value for money.

Just returned from a four night stay at the Ai Mori D'Oriente. Really cannot fault this place for the money. This was my fifth trip to Venice and by far the best. We were delighted with the rooms which all had character, a rather nice change from all the 'branded' chain hotels around these days and the general ambience of the hotel was restful and lovely - just what you need after a hard days trekking round Venice. The staff were all incredibly professional and welcoming and everything was done to a high standard. Would particularly like to recommend the bar in the evenings as Gianni and Christy were excellent hosts and made us feel at home. We were very impressed by the standard of housekeeping as I don't recall ever staying anywhere else where the rooms were tidied in the morning and then the beds turned down ready for us in the evening. Obviously I don't get to stay in the Ritz very often - for those people who get this level of service all the time- but I did feel spoiled and felt I got good value for money. You just wouldn't get this level of service in the UK for what we paid. Particularly liked the little touches like the small cotton mats placed next to the beds during the evening which were heaven underfoot after walking miles. Cannaregio is a nice quiet area of Venice and has some good local restaurants which don't require a mortgage, both those recommended by staff at the hotel were excellent. Really cant wait to go back and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: We stayed in number 204 at the end of a corridor on the second floor. You won't get a canal view...

NIce hotel well located for walking around Venice. A little out of the centre, but an easy walk across the canals and piazzas to most tourist attractions. Close to a few nice restaurants and bars so you didn't have to walk far at night to get a bite to eat.
Room was clean, tidy and compact, breakfast was busy but ample, lots of choice and fresh foods on offer.
Overall a nice spot, central and lovely comfortable rooms at a great price!!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights prior to joining a cruise and cannot fault it. The staff were wonderful, room large and spacious, even the bathroom had a bath/shower. Everywhere was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the outside courtyard is a lovely place to eat. We also enjoyed using the hotel bar, where the bar manager introduced me to the Venetian aperitif, Spritze. I am now hooked.

The location is quiet, away from the main tourist traps but is beautiful and within easy reach of the main attractions. there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the local area.

We intend to go back to Venice as it is a wonderful city and we would not hesitate in booking this hotel again.

I arrived very late to the hotel. My flight had landed at 11.15 pm and I took a bus to Piazzale Roma. I've contacted the hotel before asking about pick up service and the price was 170 Eu per one way!! So be aware of that. Anyway, I took a bus whish cost 6 Eu per one way and then I had to walk. At first glance hotel is very difficult to find, it was dark and there were no people on the streets, so it took me almost one hour to get to the hotel. Next day I saw a pointer to the hotel so it was much easier. However you have to keep your head high to find it.
Anyway, when finally I reached the hotel I was welcomed by a very friendly man. Check-in wass fast, efficient and in a very polite way.
Breakfast next day was someting amazing! I admit, it is the best breakfast I've ever had in the hotels. Fresh fruits, fresh strawberry, juices, ham, cheese, a lot of bread, croissants, tea/coffee. Absolutely fantastic!
Day shift staff was also extremely good. Always smiling, always ready to help.
Room was good. Not so spacious as I expected, but I didn't spend much time in the hotel. Bathroom had all the toilettres, a lot of towels, hairdryer. There was a minibar in the room.
Hotel is situated on the quiet street, a bit far from the main attractons, but if you are a walker like me so definitely not a problem. There is a street nearby where there are lot's of restaurants to take dinner.
Take a note that there is a city tax paid on the check-out, 4 Eu per night (I don't know if it's per person or per night as I traveled alone and paid 16 Eu for 4 days).
In general, I think, hotel is a bit overpriced, but I guess that is because of bienalle and this is Venice. I would like to try some new hotel with better location whenever I'm again in Venice, however I wouldn't mind to stay again.
