This is our third trip to Venice and our first to stay at the Al Ponte Mocenigo. Don't be put off by the two stars, this is a great little hotel. The location is perfect or getting to and from the airport, the Vaporetto stop is just about two minutes from the hotel, with just one very small bridge to lug your suitcases over. If your wallet will stand it, the water taxi will drop you to the door.
Most of the sites and restaurants are an easy walk, but be careful returning in the dark, even with a relatively good map it can be difficult finding the right alley. I'd suggest that you make a careful note, or bring a bag of rice.
Our room was on the first floor in the annexe, large, beamed ceilings, Murano chandelier and Terrazzo floors.
Walter and Sandro do a great job, everything is clean, and everything works works, even the free WiFi, a first for Venice.
Just perfect.

This is a great small hotel in a quite area but is close to a water stop and easily walkable to the tourist sites. We stayed in a small ground floor room next to the door and front desk. It was inexpensive by Venice standards. The room tended to be a bit noisy because of the way it was situated close to the breakfast area. We were told this when we checked in so we were not surprised and it did not bother us. If you are a light sleeper or sleep late you may want another room. Also the room was too small for more than a couple or single. This service was impeccable and very helpful and the room was updated and clean.

Everything about our stay at the hotel was seamless in every way. Our hosts, Arthur & Sandro, could not have been more helpful or friendly.

We arrived at the hotel with our 8 year old daughter who had only days before had broken her leg & had no crutches or wheelchair. Not only did they source a wheelchair for us, they arranged delivery & return & paid the deposit so that we could pay them back.

The rooms are beautifully appointed & decorated & are of the highest cleanliness standard. The location of the hotel is central to all points of interest.

The breakfast included in our stay had many options for all tastes & was always fresh & delicious. All the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful & friendly. I would have no hesitation on recommending this hotel to family & friends & will be doing so. Thanks for such a wonderful holiday & experience!

Just to add to my last review. We are returning to Venice in October with some friends and have once again booked the Al Ponte Mocenigo. Great restaurant nearby and we even found a grocery store no more than a
5 minute walk away. The hotel is located on a side canal off of the Grand Canal. Very quiet. The vaporetta stop is a 2 minute walk away also.
