We stayed six nights in one of the annex rooms on the first leg of our three week honeymoon in Italy - it was lovely - overlooking a garden, and had a bathtub which we were very grateful for after hours of sightseeing.
The breakfast buffet was very nice (and the servers really pleasant and cheerful), with lots of options - salami, cheese, hard boiled eggs, quiche, cereal, juice, capuccino, tea, croissants, buns, etc. They were able to accommodate my husband's need for Gluten free options.
The bed was very firm, as is common in Europe - but they have a pad that can be put on it upon request for us North Americans who are used to something softer.
The location is very convenient - a half block from the San Stae vaporetto stop, and only about a ten minute walk to the Rialto bridge once you've figured out the winding back paths. It's about a twenty minute brisk walk to St. Mark's Square - again, once you've figured out the windy narrow streets of Venice. (Which is very much part of the charm of Venice - the best part is getting lost, and getting away from the main tourist routes)
I highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!More
