This hotel was lovely ; very clean and I loved the Venetian style ! The highlight was 100% the breakfast - it was excellent - so many choices - fresh fruits , pastries , breads, cereals juices , hams, cheeses . The hotel is very easy to find ; a stroll away from the water bus stop ! We got ther very early but we wer able to leave our bags in storage and the owner was ther offered us coffee and gave us a map and showed us where to go ! It’s a good location in my opinion because it has lovely little restaurants and shops nearby . And for venice prices this was v v v good value . I would def recommend

It's cool to be able to say, "ya-as, we always stay at the Mocenigo when we are in Venice." OK, we've been exactly twice, but it's that good. When we make that semi-joke online, we sometimes include a photo of us having a cappuccino in the courtyard.

This second trip confirmed our decision that it is worth more than rubies to have a central location that is also within 50 metres of a vaporetto stop (OK, that and a vaporetto pass)

There were three of us, which put us in the annex. That was no trouble at all, with the intercom and camera at each door and quick response every time we used the doors.

There's no lift, but the desk man helped us schlep our bags up.

The room was again spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were good, as we easily found several good restaurants nearby.

If you stay here, be sure to reserve a time on the rooftop view terrace at the Tedeschi complex just across the Rialto bridge.

The hotel staff were VERY helpful in tracking down a lost suitcase that the airlines kept misplacing.

Most of all, this place feels like what a Venice hotel ought to be. NOT the New York Hilton, not a corporate profit center. One ancient door opens to a cobblestone street, one to a tiny dim alley, and one directly onto a small canal bridge.

Highly recommendef, and if we are lucky enough to go to La Serenissima a third time we will definitely stay here.

We usually stay in apartments when traveling, but since we were in Venice for only 3 nights, we decided to stay at Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo based on reviews. What a great decision! This hotel was in a great, quiet location away from all the crowds yet close enough to walk to all the sights and very close to a Vaporetto stop. The room was large, well decorated and very clean. The hotel was small enough that the folks staffing the reception desk knew everybody. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. All the people running the reception desk were very friendly, helpful, calm, and just plain enjoyable to talk to. The housekeeping staff was also superb. We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to our friends, even for a long-term stay.

My sister and I spent two nights here on a recent visit to Venice, and it worked out very well for us. First, communication with the hotel throughout the booking process was good, and they graciously accommodated my request when I needed to change the dates of our stay. They also provided very in-depth directions for how to reach the hotel (depending on your entry-point to Venice), which was really appreciated. The hotel is located very close to the San Stae water bus stop, and we had no difficulty in finding it the evening we arrived. We had a charming small standard room which was clean and comfortable. We were right behind the front desk, and although there was a bit of noise in the late evening from people coming in or stopping at the bar, it was quiet during the night. Late sleepers might want to request a room further away from reception, as there was more noise in the morning during breakfast time. It was not a big issue for us, however. Although we always ate inside the dining room due to the cool temps the mornings we were there, the outdoor courtyard area adjoining the dining room looked lovely. Breakfast was simple but adequate for us, and the ladies serving tea or coffee were friendly (as were the reception staff). We were out after dark for dinner or returning from our day, and the area felt safe - pretty quiet, but not too far from several shops and restaurants. We were also able to leave our luggage after checkout until our evening departure. I would recommend this hotel, and would definitely consider staying here again if I return to Venice.

Room Tip: If you're a late or very light sleeper, request a room away from the reception/breakfast area

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Venice at the Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo. The location is convenient and the accommodations sufficient but there wasn’t anything truly spectacular about the hotel.

This hotel is located in the Santa Croce district. With most visitors likely taking the vaporetto, the location is convenient in that it is the third stop on the “1” line from Ferrovia. This helps cut down time spent on the vaporetto with luggage.

The building is tucked into a residential area and generally nondescript. The staff checking us in and out were generally friendly. Our room was a standard king bed room. Decor was nice but generally more of the classic style. Breakfast underwhelmed a little with limited protein options with meat being deli meat and cheese being sliced cheese. Maybe our hopes were too high.

Overall, we were pleased with our stay during peak season at reasonable prices. Aside from the location, though, there really wasn’t anything remarkable about the hotel or our experience there.
