“Excellent B&B in Venice”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed this B&B. We are a family of 5 with older children so accomodation for 5 can be tricky - this B&B was perfect for us for one night as we had one room with a private WC. We were welcomed with a comprehensive overview of Venice, the breakfast was great and we had two fantastic meals at restaurants recommended by the owner. We could not have made a better decision!

Room Tip: Our room was adequate for 5 with a private WC.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this friendly B&B. It was our first trip as a family to Venice and the advice Mario gave us regarding places to eat and how to find our way around Venice was most useful. Mario picked us up from the San Silvestre vaporetto stop at 9pm at night and within 5 minutes we were at the B&B. The location is excellent. Our room was quiet, very clean and comfortable, with sufficient space to accommodate ourselves and our two adolescent children. The complimentary Wifi was useful. Breakfast was plentiful although the option of fruit in addition to rolls, pastries and yoghurt would be nice. We had to leave early on our last day and we appreciated the packed breakfast that we were provided with to send us on our way. We would recommend this B&B to friends and would return to it ourselves.

I highly recommend staying with Mario and Esmeralda. Mario made arrangements to meet us at the pier where the water taxi drops you off and kindly walked us to the bed and breakfast only 5 minutes away. Upon arrival he provided us with a map of Venice outlining routes to take and restaurants to eat at for a fair price. Wifi was complimentary as was breakfast where I was treated to a resourceful history lesson of Venice from the multi lingual Esmeralda. The room and bathroom were both spotless. I have stayed in expensive hotels in Venice and the room was very similar in size. Overall amazing experience

This is a little B&B with personality. Situated in the middle of the San Polo district. Only 10 min walk to Marcus Square. Close to fantastic local restaurants. Esmeralda and Marco will be happy to help you with guidance.

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in the center of Venice and were so lucky to find Residenza Degli Angeli! It's location is unbeatable, about a 10 minute walk from anywhere you would want to go in Venice. Upon arrival at the B&B we were greeted by Esmerelda and not only got a tour of the hotel but also a great overview of the history of Venice. The next morning we enjoyed a great continental breakfast served by Mario and were on our way! We would highly recommend this B and B to anyone who wants a great value for their money!

We were so glad that we chose to stay at the Residenza degli Angeli rather than a hotel or a place on the mainland. Our host and hostess were friendly, helpful and cheerful, and the room was beautifully decorated and authentically Venetian. We enjoyed threading the maze of streets to get there, but we were appreciative of our host's meeting us at the Vaporetto and leading us there the first time, as well as showing us how to find a good place to eat at 9 p.m. The room was comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was fine. We would love to have stayed longer!

Close walk to everything, but in a quiet location. Small, but clean and sufficient rooms. Owner was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good- croissants, yogurt, juices, warm beverages. Had to use wi fi on main floor.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have to share an external bathroom. Rooms with attached bathrooms are larger.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Our Bed & Breakfast finds itself in the center of Venice, 5 minutes walking from the famous Rialto bridge, and 15 minutes walking from Piazza San Marco. We are close to the main fish market place where there is a public transport gondola service which enables everyone to cross the Grand Canal for 2 euros per person. Our home is located in one of the oldest areas of Venice, where most houses are from the 13th century. Indeed Venetians used to leave originally in Torcello island, and then decided from the 8th century to move from the island of Torcello, more exposed to the Barbars invasions, to settle in the current Rialto area. Esmeralda and Mario, the owners who personally attend all guests during check-in, check-out and breakfast time, will answer all your questions and help you take most advantage of your stay in Venice. ... more   less
