We have just returned from a trip to Venice which was extended due to the volcanic ash cloud. We are so thankful that we chose to stay at Ca' dei Dogi as the hotel staff did their upmost to help us deal with this problem, kindly holding a room for us, ringing our airline, advising on a nearby train booking agent and even preparing a breakfast at 4.30am before we left.
Ca' dei Dogi is in a fantastic location, behind bustling St. Mark square, yet in the opposite direction you can wondering around the quiet allies of Castello.
Ca' dei Dogi sets you up for the day with a hearty breakfast including delicious omlettes and after a busy day exploring venice the sunny roof terrace is a relaxing retreat.
We stayed in two rooms during our extended stay, Batik room with its own balcony and the twin room on the ground floor. Both rooms were impeccably clean with a slick design making use of every space available..
The icing on the cake for Ca'dei Dogi is the service we received from Susanna, Stefano and Michael and we cannot thank them enough for their kind hospitality.More
