Fantantastic place to stay and see Venice. Sabrina gave us excellent directions and if you go into the website there is a short video showing her waking to the apartment so we found it very easy to find. Ideal location about 10 minutes walk to St Marcs Square. The best part was the roof terrace, it had fantanstic views and it was a real treat to sit out and enjoy breakfast or have a glass of wine and watch the views. Via Garabaldi was a good wide street with shops, bars and restaurants there is a small supermarket next to the apartment and you can buy beautiful fresh fuit from the stall just across the street. Breakfast was left every morning, crossiants, Italian pasteries, bread rolls, milk and a jug of juice. Beautiful spacious bedroom, whole apartment was immaculately clean. There are quite alot of stairs to climb I counted 69 steps from inside the building to the apartment but it was worth it. We had a very early start on our day of departure Sabrina and her parents were very helpful and accommodated us with an early breakfast and with information on the boat times. Would highly recommend

We have just returned from 4 nights in the attic apartment and had a wonderful time. The apartment was a little tricky to find, but once we did it was divine. We stayed as a couple and there was plenty of space. Some key points:
Getting there and around:
We got the Alilaguna boat from the airport and then walked to the apartment from Arsenale, this was only a 10 minute walk.
The apartment is ideally located only 5 minutes from Giardini and Biennale Water Bus stops.
You can walk to St Marks Square in 15-20 minutes.

Breakfast:
This is plentiful and delivered at 8am every day. It consisted of 2 x croissants, 2 x cakes, 4 x bread rolls and fresh juice. Jam, milk and tea/coffee are also provided in the apartment. The breakfast was quite a carbo overload for us, so after the first morning we bought some cereal from the shop downstairs and then took the cakes out with us for a snack. On our last day we even bought some salami and cheese and made the rolls into sandwiches for our lunch.

The apartment:
Beautifully decorated, the terrace was divine after a long days sightseeing. We bought bottles of prosecco from the shop downstairs for only 3 euros.
The attic apartment is at the top of many flights of stairs, although this shouldn't put you off. It was nice to get a bit of exercise every day!
There are restaurants along the street, although we didn't eat at any of them. The street felt safe, quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas.

This is a must if you are staying in Venice.

I was in the Attic appartment and really enjoyed my stay. The appartment was even better than expected, clean, fully equiped and comfortable. The hosts were very gracious and informative and wonderfully unintrusive. The appartment is by all sense and purposes independant. It is placed in a quiet area at night there was absolute silence. The terrace gives wonderful views and is an ideal place to wind down after a days work, I wasn't in Venice as a tourist, but imagine that after a hard days sightseeing that a drink on the terrace would be divine!

Our two week vacation in Italy included a two-night stay at this wonderful B&B and it was one of our favorite spots! Immaculately clean, friendly hosts, perfect location away from the crowds of tourists, magnificent views - a perfect find! Having never been to Venice, I was worried about being "on the outskirts" of the city in Castello - but it turned out to be the best decision! It was only about a 10-15 minute walk to St Marks Square - but once we turned onto Via Garibaldi it was like we were home. The apartment is above the owner's home, up several steep flights of steps. One large room with comfortable double bed plus a single bed, another room with a single daybed plus kitchen area, seating and modern bathroom. Lastly, there was the beautiful deck with panoramic views of Via Garibaldi and the lagoon. Very spacious for our family including two teenage daughters. Highly recommend Ca' Alexander!

My husband and I stayed in the Ca' delle Ancore apartment while our friends stayed in the Ca' Alexander B&B, in October 2012. The Castello was the perfect area to stay in and the street where our accomodation was fanstastic. Lined with everything you could ever need this street was quiet, clean and the sight of people walking their dogs or children playing was a lovely experience. We got off the water taxi from the airport at the Arsenale stop and it was a quick stroll to our apartment. The apartment had everything we could possibly need, was clean, comfortable and only one flight of stairs. When we did visit St Marks square, it was well within a pleasant walking distance. We stayed in the middle of Venice last year, where it was busy with tourists, this trip was a much more pleasureable experience for both of us. Sabrina and her family are lovely to deal with and very professional. They even arranged a water taxi to collect us and take us to the cruise terminal, where Sabrina and her husband even turned up to say goodbye and make sure the taxi had arrived. All in all a lovely accomodation and visit to Venice.

Room Tip: If you don't like lots of stairs then choose the Ca' delle Ancore. The Ca' Alexander B...

A fantastic apartment, spacious for our family of four (two children), they loved collecting the fresh breakfast placed at the bottom of the stairs each morning. It was quiet, clean, modern, with a wonderful terrace with great views overlooking Venice and the daily street life below, just out of the crowded centre of Venice but within easy walking distance to St Marks Square.

We stayed for three nights during late October, in apartment Ca' delle Ancore located on Via Garibaldi. A wide street, unusual for Venice, not touristy at all, but still a very historic area, and a nice quiet retreat. A perfect apartment for four adults and two children, clean and well decorated. It was in a great position, overlooking the canal, which had a barge selling fruit and vegetables, a range of shops sellng local produce, several restaurants, and a wine shop selling locally produced wine straight from the cask, into the empty bottle you had taken along. Many of the attractions were within walking distance, but two water bus stops were wirhin five minutes walk, if needed. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and things to do and see. A great celebration for our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary.
