Quiet, tranquil and very conveniently situated close to all the interesting sights, this hotel is an undiscovered gem. The rooms are in a ~600 year old house, with beautiful terazzo floors. The breakfast table is carefully set with beautiful linen, and attention to detail, in a elegant room with classical decor. The coffee and the breakfast was excellent. Our room was scrupulously clean, with efficient modern shower and toilet ensuite. I will be staying there again and recommending the hotel enthusiastically to my friends. Carlo is very friendly and helpful, and completely fluent in English. Street addresses are hard to find in Venice. From the Accademica Bridge, turn left in front of the Accademia building. Continue in the same direction to the canal, turn left, cross at the first bridge and continue straight ahead along the Calle Della Toletta (a rather narrow typical Venetian street). Take the first right off the Calle, and follow the numbers above the doors to find 1198 (a green garden door).

I booked through lastminute and, what appeared to be common for ast minute bookings, we were in the rooms just round the corner rather than the hotel. They were clean, comfortable and very private and can be recommended. They are quite stripped down - no cushion, pictures or rugs! but still attractive with lots of other good thngs, safe, hairdryer, tissues, that you often only see in more expensive hotels. Two problems: one is the pillows, very flat and ot really comfortable- this bothered me andnot my partner, who really doesnt need a pillow! But its odd that a hotel that pays attention in the way that this one does doesnt provide better quality pillows. The second was the breakfast, OK if basic, but not really of very good quality, eg the croissants always slightly stale. There was cereal but I dont like it, so the choice was a bit restricted. Very nice dining room, though. Staff both helpful and friendly. Good location once you find it!

Room Tip: Choose the rooms if you want to be private, where we stayed it was almost like a little flat, a double room, a single room and a bathroom in between - good for a family with one child. Fridge outside in communal area and a table to eat from there as well.

I just got back from staying here with my mum - we had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel. Carlo, the owner was very kind and always on hand to advise or help with directions. The hotel itself is in a wonderful position in one of the most charming sections of Venice - Dosurdoro - we will definitely go back to this hotel when we return to Venice! Great value for money but the kind welcome which Carlo and his staff gave was worth its weight in gold!!!

I stayed here in April with a friend. We were given a quaint room that had its own courtyard where we could relax in the sun. The room was really big with a nice bathroom. Perfectly clean as well.

The man & lady at reception were really friendly and extremely helpful as well.

Breakfast was ok.

Location wise it was great and a short walk to transport facilities.
