“Central spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

This was great choice B&B. We stayed in Venice for a long weekend on the end of our Italian trip before heading home. Again location was key and it's a good central one. The room was on the first floor and was great. Bigger than expected with a strong shower flow. The staff were helpful with short cuts on how to get to places and gave good info about reasonable places to eat. Drinking can cost a fortune in Venice so be aware. Interesting place, glad we made the effort.

A hidden home in the center of Venice, this b&b has a great location, is quiet and charming. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Located about a 5 minute walk from the Vaporetto stop, 25 minutes to Piazza San Marco, and 15 minutes to the Rialto Bridge and the Accademia. There are some nice restaurants and shops very close by. The ambiance is great, but is more English cottage than Venetian style, which may not be what some people are looking for when in Venice.

We have recently returned from our first visit to Venice and stayed here. I can highly recommend this small hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble - even a delicious cup of tea brought up to the bedroom on our return from a hard day's sight seeing (all included)! Delicious breakfast included too. Only 6 bedrooms and ours was extremely comfortable with a sitting area as well with sofa and TV. It is in a very pretty, quiet area, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Venice and yet just around the corner from Santa Maria Gloriosa del Frari. We do hope to go back again one day soon.

We stayed at Il Giardino for a long weekend in October. It absolutely lived up to the reviews we read on Trip Advisor! Our room was large and very comfortable. We had a room on the first floor which overlooked the garden. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was really nice with a large bath and shower attachment. All very modern! There was hairdryer, tissues, cotton wool pads and lovely shampoo and conditioner etc.

The breakfasts were fantastic. Plenty of fresh bread, croissants, cereals, eggs and fruit. Lovely coffee and happy to make lattes or cappuchinos and refills! The staff were so friendly and attentive, particularly the night manager who went out of his way to book lovely restaurants for us on a busy Friday and Saturday night. Both restaurants were excellent. Don't take a water a taxi unless you have lots of luggage - it is only a 10 minute walk to the hotel from Piazzale Roma. Ok, it wasn't cheap but I have stayed in cheaper hotels in Venice which were awful. I'd love to stay again when it's warm enough to breakfast in the lovely garden.

Room Tip: We were on first floor overlooking garden - large from with a sofa.

We have stayed here five, perhaps six times and have reservations for next Spring. Can't say enough good things about the staff, service, and location. Kudos to all and thank you for all of your kind care and hospitality. Mille grazie!

Room Tip: Book early!

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights last year. My husband and I had a wonderful time! The room was extremely clean and breakfast was great! The staff was very attentive and helpful. Ilaria was the greatest one! She booked some restaurants for us and gave us such nice tips about the city and places to go! I would strongly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again one day!

Reviews really help when booking a hotel in a city you've never been to. Wanted a quiet spot to finish our Italy tour in and this was definitely the right choice. Couldn't wait for breakfast every day - it was a treat. only 6 rooms here. Had a great suite on the top floor. Was a quiet spot (construction happening next door but was finishing as we were leaving our trip). Didn't bother us as we were up when that started. Staff treated us fantastically. Nice to have a bar fridge with free still + sparkling water on hand. Folks have stated this place is tough to find, but what place isn't in Venice? Had no issues finding it thanks for the directions given in advance.
Would surely recommend this place to friends/family, and would stay here again if making the trip back to Venice.
Did I mention the breakfast? I miss it already :)

Room Tip: Suite on top floor was nice. doubt there is a bad room in the place though.
