“tiny place”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

I had to pass so many flights of stairs to get to my room with luggage and kids. Also When we found the place (after much difficulty), we dint have anyone at the reception to open the door. Luckily we were able to call them and they came and opened the door. Our room was super tiny, but neat and comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

We loved the location in Canareggio, away from the throngs of tourists but just a short walk to all attractions. Ca' Riccio provided us with clear directions to find them which was very helpful in making the start of our stay in Venice even more pleasant and relaxed. The bedroom and dining room were charming. We were given good advice about touring Venice and had the most delicious breakfast including home made tiramisu - what a treat! Thanks for a great experience.

Stayed here for one night on our honeymoon. Had a little trouble finding it but had previously downloaded the TA city guide for mobile, so used the App to guide ourselves to the door. On arrival we were shown to room 3 with ensuite shower room. Room was well decorated and just about big enough for 2 and the bed was very comfortable. While unpacking, a member of staff knocked at the door with 2 complimentary cakes and juices, which were lovely. Free wi-fi in the room. Breakfast was continental style and very enjoyable, with plenty of options. Overall, very happy with our choice and would happily stay here again. City Tax is payable in cash when you check out. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby but we didn't try any of them.

We booked Ca' Riccio for ourselves and famiy to stay during our wedding in Venice. We also booked the hotel for our evening reception.
Ca' Riccio is a beautifully decorated bed & breakfast with a very traditional Venetian style and a very welcoming family running it. Located 10 minutes walk from both the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square its in the most perfect location.
Our while family loved their stay - the rooms were beautifully decorated and with a good amount of room and good value for money. The suite at the top was perfect for us to spend our wedding night in. Our wedding evening reception was hosted by Ca' Riccio and the personal service and family atmosphere made our evening so special and perfect The food and drink was out of this world ALL homemade, The owner Paolo and his sister were perfect hosts and joined in our evening with some singing which made it extra special. Paolo's daughter was the singer for the evening and she was great! We stayed here in July ahead of our wedding in September to check it out and were happy with our decision. We will be visiting Venice every year now for our anniversary and will always stay at Ca' Riccio. Thank you to everyone there - you made us feel a part of your family and made everyone's stay memorable.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely. The suite if great for a bit of extra romance with a jacuzzi bath.

Stayed for 2 nights and loved it! Great location close to restaurants and shopping. Our rm was perfect for 2 pple and had a nice view and comfy beds. Breakfast was good with eggs, meats, cheese and fruits. My only problem was the stairs ( located on 3rd floor).

Stayed at Ca’Riccio one night post cruise.
The hotel was difficult to find, but everything in Venice seems to be. We walked from Piazzale Roma to Rialto and then navigated from there to the hotel but in hindsight it would have been easier to take a Vaporetto to Fondamenta Nuove and then it is about a 5 minute walk from there in almost a straight line.
We had booked the hotel but there seemed to be some confusion with our booking that involved us being transferred to an apartment several minutes walk away though there was no difference in price. The apartment was clean and spacious, second floor with a full kitchen and clean modern bathroom with shower. We appreciated the fact it was also equipped with window shutters that could be closed to keep out any street noise and light. Bed was comfortable but the A/C was kind of noisy and did not seem to do much in the way of cooling, we felt we were luck it was not very hot when we stayed.
Had to walk back to the hotel for breakfast which was good and consisted of eggs, ham, toast, juice, coffee and an assortment of fruit. The staff were accommodating and had no problem with us leaving our luggage there for us to collect later.

I stayed at Ca' Riccio with my daughters in May; we all really enjoyed it. We ended up in a lovely room at the top of the house (exposed wood beams, cast iron bedsteads and a pretty bathroom) with lots of room for the 3 of us. Breakfast was huge and delicious -- I especially liked the torte! -- but there was also fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, yogurt, cookies; make-your-own grilled sandwiches, hot chocolate and juices as well as cappuccino. The owners have decorated the place with lots of Murano glass; flowers on the windowsill in the hallway; all very pretty. The best part, though, was the friendly welcome; we were delayed at the airport and my daughter and her grandparents, who arrived ahead of us at Ca' Riccio, were welcomed with cookies and tea and conversation while they waited. Many thanks for a wonderful welcome to Italy!
