The Molino Stucky is the perfect base for Venice, free shuttle boat to and from hotel to St Marks Square and a boat to airport every hour. Fantastic views across to the city of Venice and from the roof top pool and bar watch the cruise liners pass by. Restaurants in the hotel are on the expensive side.

Booked via popular website and received a great discount as would otherwise not have stayed at a 5* hotel. Terrific public rooms and bedroom spacious and comfortable, this hotel really does feel very classy. Breakfast was substantial and varied (best to book bed & breakfast rather than accommodation only) but probably best to get down to the restaurant early - on our second day the spaciuos dining room filled very quickly. Small, chilly pool on roof surrounded by 'beautiful people' so jumped in (well, at least I didn't bomb!). Location ideal on Giudecca cannot understand comments re shuttle as times clearly advertised and ran like clockwork - an excellent service and location really does take you away from the hustle and bustle of Venice (you'll want to after battling with other tourists for a number of hours in the sun). Pleasant staff, couldn't fault them. Best to eat and drink elsewhere as prices ridiculous and I am comparing to London prices which I tolerate.

We enjoyed staying at this very large hotel. We had managed to get a good deal one of the comparison websites. Our room was deluxe. It was spacious and had a lovely view of the gardens. The breakfast, which was included in our deal was brilliant. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The downsides were that you have to pay for wifi and you have to access in the hotel lobby. Snacks, meals and drinks were expensive. A highlight was the roof top pool and it's magnificent views.

Room Tip: Make sure your get an inclusive breakfast deal.

This is a beautiful property on a sleepy island in Venice. The rooms are big and comfortable and very clean.
Here are the cons: the hotel is far from the main islands and the shuttle books up in the morning, when you are trying to get out for your tours. The next shuttle is 40 minutes later. The concierge Federica (see below) immediately took care of the problem.
The rooms have TERRIBLE sound proofing. You can hear the alarm go off in the room next door, the people talking, coughing, sneezing, and blow drying their hair.
Bring all of your booking documents with you -- they told us they did not have the rooms we reserved but I had printed out my emails with the reservations manager from 8 months ago and suddenly without explanation the rooms became available.
Pros: Special props to the two concierges, who are really the face of the hotel since they're the only humans you interact with on a daily basis: Federica with the cool glasses -- she's warm, caring, and extremely bright; Christian -- funny, smart, and really knows the area and what people want. Thank you Federica and Christian!!! Also special props to the non-Italian wait-staff at breakfast -- they have a nice smile and are very polite and even remembered our names.

I was in July 2012 with a party of 12 for a family reunion at your hotel, and I had a positive experience. The service was very good, at the concierge Federica and Carlo were super and at the breakfast room Romoulus was great. But the Giudecca location was uncomfortable and make you loose the charm of Venice. One think was annoying, no newspaper!! I understand you do not have many Italian guests, but walking 15' early in the morning in the heat was bad.... please charge 2 euro more....your guest can effort it!!

Dear Guest,
First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to let us have your impressions about your visit at the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice.
We are sorry if the location in Giudecca did not entirely meet your expectations; It is true that we are not located right in the city centre, but we are only a few minutes away from the main Venice attractions and still enjoy the vicinity and a great view over the city and a quiet and relaxing atmosphere in a typical residential area.
With some previous notice, we are always pleased to supply guests with a newspaper of their preference.
Thank you for being our guest.
Sincerely.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July after getting married in Lake Garda.

We booked a "that's amore" suite but looking at the pictures on the website it looks as if they gave us a free upgrade to the King Grande Deluxe Suite (we were in 716) - maybe because I mentioned we were starting our honeymoon here!

The room was fantastic with great views, comfy bed and came with prosecco and Chocolate coated strawberries (which were delicious).

We ordered a cheeseburger from roomservice which was delivered promptly and was fantastic also. Breakfast was good - best bacon i've had in ages!

we had access to the executive suite with free beers, wines softdrinks and nibbles - highly recommended to book a room with lounge access as the drink prices in the adjacent bar are quite pricey.

The Bar on the rooftop in the evening is amazing - good views, ambient mood lighting and very chilled music together with an amazing cocktail menu (loved the black mojito)

location wise I actually liked being able to be in a slightly quieter area with good access to the main tourist areas.

The only downside to the room really was the air conditioning was not quite cool enough but no major issue there.

Will certainly visit again.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a family vacation to Italy, having gotten a great rate on Priceline. We loved the place, it's location, the luxury of the common areas and rooms, and the friendliness of the service staff. What we didn't realize was that it requires you jump on one of their free regularly scheduled boats to get to the central area of Venice - the hotel is on Giudeca island and not connected to central Venice - the boat ride is a couple of minutes.

We loved the rooftop pool which has an amazing view of Venice, the beautiful interior. The restaurant was ok - you could do better in town.

Internet access was not great, but they have a couple of pcs with Internet near the lobby.

Only thing we regretted was not booking a longer stay here!

If you get a good rate, don't think twice about staying somewhere else.

Ps - Giudeca is an interesting and sleepy little island with some lovely sights - Elton John has a home here !
