“Style, great views in Giudecca”
Reviewed 2 June 2013

Hilton's investment in Venice is in an old mill on Giudecca island with beautiful views of San Marco. The wood-beamed ceilings, Italian glass chandeliers, and comfortable guest rooms with windows that open to complete the Venice experience, all create an exceptional experience. It would be hard to believe that there are rooftop pools elsewhere in the world with views like this one. The Skye Bar and restaurant is a popular spot to see the sunset that creates the beautiful Venice glow. The hotel has its own water taxi to transport you to San Marco -- if you want to deal with those crowds. Giudecca has its own canal walk with small cafes and shops. We had a delicious meal in the Bacaromi restaurant -- risotto with grilled shrimps and asparagus and tagliatelle with braised lamb. For guests traveling to the airport, the hotel is the first morning stop on the Aliliaguna water bus line. If there is a downside, some guests complained that the breakfast buffet did not start until 7 am, so those catching an early flight missed out. However, you could order a breakfast to go. Overall, a good spot.

Never stayed in a better Hilton property or actually a better property in any of the main brands. This hotel is grand, this hotel is superb, and am sure theres nothing like it, at least in Venice. And when that is not enough, you have some of the most pleasant helpful caring hotel staff which simply acts as an icing on the cake. I will start point by point and detail them from thereon
a) Location - not on the main island but right opposite it facing the entire Venice city. With a free shuttle every 30 minutes to the main island, it doesnt feels like ur on the island opposite. And remember people actually pay 7 Euros to come to this side on those water taxis which u get to take for free, so what better?
b) Lobby / Front desk - busy lobby, with many restaurants, bars, executive lounge but nonetheless its awesome. The hotel is a flour mill converted place and Hilton did a beautiful job of maintaining that old charm yet provide the most modernistic looks. Awesome. The front desk is super helpful. Forgot the name of the lady who checked me in, i think it was Ildara (sorry for misspelling) and she was the most helpful front desk staff I ever met. I arrived in early but she was not only kind enough to get my room ready on priority but also asked the breakfast desk staff to allow me to have breakfast upon arrival itself. Great.
c) Executive Lounge - I arrived in early so I rested in the lounge which is next to the lobby and is a decent facility.
d) Breakfast - lavish is the word. Its like a large buffett, something you can only expect at an upscale party etc. but here it was, simply awesome.
e) Rooms - now if all that wasnt enough to amaze me, I believe the best was yet to come. Being a privileged member that I am with Hilton, I got a superb upgrade. It was a lavish 2 huuuugeeee rooom suite (1.5 bath) with three side views of the entire Venice city, unbeatable not many get to have it.
f) Rooftop pool - Then comes the more sweeping 360 deg views of the entire Venice from the rooftop bar and pool, simply awesome.
g) Spa facility looked pretty expansive too and sits in an adjoining building.
h) Water shuttle service to Venice - at a frequent 20 mnts service. So very nice.
i) upon checkout, since my water taxi stop was a little far away, the front desk was gracious enough to hold our bags and walked us out close to the stop so that we dont lose our way as it was 4 in the morning. Unbeatable.

I have never stayed in such a wonderful property before and what with that amazing staff, its the best hotel.

Room Tip: Opt for a room facing the Venice city.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days in May. The positives were many. The staff were professional, courteous, and helpful. We loved the location on Giudecca away from the hordes of tourists but with easy access to the main points of interest in Venice. Our room was beautiful, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Our accommodations overlooked the lagoon which had very interesting traffic such as river and cruise ships and racing yachts going by. We also had "club" privileges which gave us access to a lounge where we had breakfast every morning and drinks/appetizers pre-dinner. We spent an hour or so at the rooftop pool which is pretty cool because you feel like you are at a resort but are overlooking the city of Venice. My only complaint is that we did not stay longer.

Room Tip: Go for the club level and a view. Both are worth the extra money.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Whilst it is across the Giudecca Canal there is a complientary shuttle water bus that runs most of the day and into the night and the location means you can get a peaceful night's sleep.

Breakfast is the usual large hotel affair with plenty of choice.

We had a large suite with a view over the lagoon - absolutely exquisite.

The Executive lounge is small and a bit limited but hey you should be out a seeing Venice so it's no problem.

Room Tip: It's worth the money - really.

The Hilton Stucky is very close to the heart of Venice. It provides a complimentary transfer from the hotel to St. Marks Square and other points of interest every 15 minutes or so by water taxi. The hotel is first class and the amenities are incomparable.

We took the train from Milan for a quick one day tour, This was one of the best hotels , ever--- Beautiful, spacious room with an incredible view. The Venice water taxi is minutes away. They also have their own taxi right in front of the hotel. All just minutes from St. Mark's Square. We stayed on Hilton points which was a great value.

The Hilton Molino Stucky is a large, beautiful hotel in a fantastic location on the opposite side of the Canale della Giudecca from the main islands of Venice. The view from the hotel of Venice is spectacular, especially at night. The hotel has all of the amenities someone would expect of a luxury property. The rooms are well appointed, clean and very comfortable in a style that you would expect in Venice. The service from the staff is outstanding, from the bellman to the desk staff to the supporting staff in the restaurant and housekeeping. For those guests that are part of the Hilton Honors program, you will find the usual benefits including the Executive Lounge, internet access, etc. We found the breakfast in the Executive Lounge to be quite good and very convenient. The only potential negative is the location of the hotel on Giudecca. At times, it was a bit of a challenge and inconvenient to catch the hotel shuttle to go back and forth between the hotel and Venice. However, within a “relatively” short walking distance in either direction from the hotel, you can augment the hotel shuttle by catching Vaporetto #2 to travel from Giudecca over to points on Venice (including the train station). A word of advice/clarification on the information provided by the hotel in regards to shuttle locations—there are, as noted, two locations for catching the shuttle to the hotel. There is a San Marco stop in front of the equestrian monument and the Londra Palace Hotel. There is also a Zattere stop in front of the Gesuati Church. In both cases, if you are looking for a large sign of flag, you will find neither. Instead, look at the boat schedules in both locations, and on the left side of each sign, you will find the Hilton hotel shuttle schedule.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a city view---it is definitely worth it.
