We have just returned from a few days in Venice and were delighted that we chose this hotel. At the time of booking we had looked at a hotel close to St Marks Square but were so glad we chose this hotel as at the end of a busy day sight seeing, it was lovely to get back to the peace of the island of Giudecca. The hotel run a regular shuttle boat to the main island which was always reliable. We stayed in an Executive room and we had a view of the gardens at the back which made it really quiet. The room was large and the bathroom was really special with a jacuzzi bath and separate shower which was lovely and powerful. Because we had an executive room we had access to the Executive lounge which served breakfast of bacon and scrambled eggs if you wanted something hot or alternatively, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, yogurts, ham, cheese etc. At lunchtime there were sandwiches and in the evening there were hot and cold snacks along with wine and beer. Some reviews I have read said the Executive lounge was too small but we did not find this at all. The staff in the hotel were all helpful and friendly. The pool and bar area on the roof is a welcome retreat and the views are to die for. It was lovely watching the cruise ships passing through the canal. We did not eat in any of the hotel restaurants but did eat in some of the local restaurants in Giudecca and although there would not be much happening late at night, the food we ate nearby was lovely and we liked that we felt we were eating with the locals. When we return to Venice we hope to return to this hotel.

Room Tip: The hotel will arrange a free return water taxi to Murano to a glass factory which was worth doing...

A massive, un impressive complex that feels like a Dysneyworld hotel. Rooms are like any other business hotel so you could be anywhere in the world. Poor service and very bad breakfast in a noisy/ shabby room with mediocre food complete the picture. Do not hope for anything better if you have access to the Executive Lounge: tiny, overcrowded, with barely anything worth eating/drinking. How did this place got 5star rating is a Mistery in our view. There are dozens of better and more authentic hotels in Venice = do not waste your money at the Hilton.

Very convenient location. Free frequent shuttles to and from St Marks Square. Very quiet. We stayed in an executive level room and it was great. Lounge is rather small but there is a good variety of snacks and breakfast selections. Would definitely stay here again.

Another trip to italy with my daughter this time to Venice. We treated ourselves to this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel and the rooms were excellent in this large converted mill. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We payed a little extra to use the executive suite which was open all day for breakfast, daytime snacks and drinks and 5-7pm free snacks, wine, beer, soft drinks and coffee. The rooftop pool was a bonus after a warm day sightseeing. Would definately visit again.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the water so we could see the boats and the cruise liners coming and going.

Guardian Life, the company I'm employed with, held their sales convention, one day business session at this hotel. A Venetian ball and gala diner was also celebrated there before we boarded the Splendor of the seas for a Mediterranean cruise. We arrived on May 22nd. The staff was quite courteous and offered great SERVICE. What a dream and a great experience. A hotel situated on water. The meals prepared at both restaurants were quite delicious. We enjoyed "happy hour" by the pool. Rooms were spacious and sanitary at all times. Comfort at the tip of your fingers

Room Tip: Front view facing the waterfront
