the hotel was the perfect location for the carnival...5 minutes walking distance to St. Marks' Square, but still quiet. Vaporetto stops right around the corner. Staff was attentive and friendly. Rooms were cozy although not large, but after all you are in Venice. Large beautiful bathroom. We were welcomed in our suite with a fruit basket and wine. Breakfast Buffet was wonderful. It was too cold for rooftop garden. There was free face painting for the carnival which was a treat. My only complaint would be that for the price, it would have been nice to have a coffee maker/tea in the room and it would have been nice to have a few more movie channels in English. Although we obviously didn't go to Venice to watch tv, at the end of a full day, it would have been nice to be able to enjoy something on the TV..same movie played all day, and it kept getting stuck.
None the less, this was not a reason to keep me from staying again at this lovely hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the little side street....very charming..

Enjoyed our stay immensely. We were on the second floor and looked down on the street with the teatro below. Our fears of noise at night were alleviated by the high quality windows. The hotel was recently remodeled and is beautifully decorated and immaculate. Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, bacon, meat, cheese, pastries, fruit and yogurt. The staff was very friendly and for us the location could not be beat. Making plans to return.

Perhaps we were spoiled by a previous hotel we had just stayed at in Florence... This place was fine, but didn't live up to the expectations in certain areas.

Easy to find in a place that is easy to get turned around and feel clausterphobic. Hotel staff was helpful at check-in and arranging tours. Breakfast was decent (had better at a different hotel but also had worse). Beds were not that comfortable, and the room felt a bit "stuffy", but there was a full bathtub in our room (compared to some other hotels). Just be careful - it is a high bath tub and easy to bump your leg on entering/exiting). The bar is overpriced (and no free minibar supplies) and hors d'oerves were just corn nuts, potato chips, and pistachios. That being said, the bartender (Efrem) was a pleasure to talk to, but beware he has the tendency to upsale drinks (He's very charming, and the drinks are nice and cold, but just be wary of the $$$). Rooftop bar was only open one of the 4+ times we checked, and that was during the daylight hours.

We had a lovely terrace and the room was large and beautifully decorated. The location is very nice. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The only reason I can not give this hotel 5 stars is that on both mornings they did not give a wake up call.

Stayed here for four nights in March/April 2014 for our silver wedding. All staff were so helpful and courteous. The deluxe rooms are spacious and beautiful. Great hot breakfast selection in an elegant breakfast room. Hotel location very easy to find and easy walking to St Marks square or the Rialto. Vaporetto stops really nearby as well. Sorry to leave and hope to return.

This hotel was a perfect selection for my trip to Venice. While the decor is lovely, it is the staff in this hotel who make this hotel shine. Every possible opportunity was made by the staff to make my visit to Venice a trip to remember. It was the personal touch of friendly staff which make me know that when I return I will once again be staying at this property, or one of its two sister properties in Venice.

We stayed here for three nights for my boyfriend’s birthday. The hotel was exceptionally clean and was in a brilliant central location – one minute from Rialto Bridge and a five minute walk from St Marks Square.

However, for me there were a couple of big disappointments. We booked the hotel three months in advance through British Airways. I emailed the hotel immediately after we booked advising them that it was my boyfriend’s birthday whilst we were staying there in the hope that they may be able to offer something special/complimentary. They emailed back saying that they had made a note of it and would try to help.

Whilst I am aware that this is not a guarantee, there was not even any acknowledgement that I had even asked the question throughout the whole of our stay. After looking at Trip Advisor it seems that other people had been upgraded free of charge on arrival to a better room. However, even with it being my boyfriend’s birthday we were not offered this. The hotel was not full to capacity either. We have been to other hotels in the past where the hotel at least made an effort on my boyfriend’s birthday. This one did not.

We also did not find the staff very friendly. To sum up our stay I would probably use the words ‘A Little Disappointed…’
