We visited Venice on the first leg of our honeymoon and we opted for something a bit more luxurious than we may normally go for, and it was worth it!!! Upon pulling up to the hotel in Venice my heart soared, it was stunningly beautiful!! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a sea (canal) view and literally opened our window to a stunning view of St. Mark’s square.
The hotel itself was warm and welcoming, a beautiful traditional style with all the modern amenities one could need. The staff were helpful and kind and very relaxed, which helped us settle in as at first I did feel slightly under dressed for such surroundings!!
The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfast was vast, there was so much to choose from, and the gardens, in which you could eat it, were beautiful. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the SPA facilities they also look amazing and I heard another couple discussing how good they were. We also had the opportunity to use their sister hotel, the Pallazzo, for drinks in the evening whilst waiting for the shuttle. The service here was also fantastic.
I would definitely recommend them for those wanting a little bit of peace and quiet luxury amongst such a busy city.

Room Tip: Definitly go for a sea view room, it was breath taking to wake up to each morning.

As previous reviews have stated the hotel is on guidecca, but don't let this put you off. It is easily reached by the free shuttle boat or water bus.Being away from the main tourist mayhem it is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of central Venice.
The hotel is a converted 16th century convent which has been done very well. It has a wonderful character and charm. The gardens are beautiful and unsual to find in Venice. It has an amazing view from the front straight across to St. Marks square.
Breakfast can be taken outside in the peaceful rear of the hotel with a view over the gardens. The breakfast buffet is pretty standard, however the full English breakfast is 16 Euros extra ( a bit steep). I think most people will find it adequate to start the day though. We did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on the food there. The hotel is very quiet but like most people we spent most of our time exploring Venice so this was not a problem.
We would definately stay again if we are visiting Venice.

My partner booked 5 nights in this stunning hotel as a surprise for my 30th birthday. Throughout our trip, I did not encounter another hotel as perfect as this one. The restored 15th century convent is everything you would imagine from Venice and more. It is directly across the water from St. Mark's Square; close enough for convenience yet far enough away that you can disappear from the busy crowds when you have had enough of the tourists. The staff are absolutely fantastic and our room was fabulous, it looked out over the perfectly manicured gardens. We indulged in champagne breakfast every morning and then strolled around the lush gardens, a very rare thing in Venice. Wanting to sample a variety of restaurants, we only had lunch in the hotel once but the food was perfect. Although there are hotels around that may have more luxury, the character and individuality of this hotel is what is needed in such a romantic city. Well done to the staff, we will definitely return on our next visit.

Wow! What a treat! This tastefully converted monastery has character and atmosphere galore. We initially thought being on giudecca island (straight across the water from st Marc's) was a let down BUT it turned out to be a wonderful retreat from the huge crowds. Our very own shuttle boat every 1/2 hr ( driven by the most Devine young Italian man I have to say) made us feel like we had our very own boat charter. The staff were very pleasant & helpful especially in the restaurant- very friendly & sweet. Too many pluses to mention- bed turned down was such a spoil, the beautiful gardens, the peace & quiet, the cosy couches in the sitting room being served pots if tea by the fire, spa facilities, the view, the decor, the breakfast with amazing wall mural.. Just magnifico!!

Having spent a glorious short break at the Cipriani last time in Venice we were paid up members if the Guidecca fan club. This time ( early April) we decided to sample the Bauer Palladio. We just love the location away from the bustle of Venice and the courtesy shuttle service provided by the hotel makes it a real treat to go on the water regularly. The hotel is lovely, the staff courteous and helpful and our room was in an annexe at the back of the extensive gardens.
The hotel is quiet - too quiet verging on sombre. The main public area seems to lack a cosy bar to which one can enjoy an aperitif before venturing out or a night cap upon return. There was one main lounge which had an atmosphere slightly less lively than a museum! As a consequence, when we checked out we had spent nothing on extras! The Bauer is surely missing a trick here. It's not that we don't appreciate a peaceful hotel on the contrary. But Bauer with this one appear to have taken it just a little too far. Nevertheless would seriously consider a second visit.

My wife and I stayed in the Bauer Palladio Hotel and Spa for two days on the last leg of our Italian Trip to celebrate our twenty nine year wedding anniversary. The Bauer Palladio was recommended to us by a classmate and we were not disappointed by his advice.

The Bauer Palladio is nothing short of spectacular and can be characterized as an oasis of peace and tranquility. Our room overlooking the gardens was simply stunning and beautiful. The room was large, clean, airy and very comfortable. As for the hotel staff, they are most friendly, professional and efficient. The service was impeccable and this hotel truly deserves their five star rating. We would like to extend our compliments to Antonio and Claudia at the reception desk, Laura our waitress, the kitchen staff and the many other support personnel who made our stay special.

My only regret, is that we could not have stayed longer at the Bauer Palladio Hotel and Spa. But rest assured that we will definitely do so next time.
